my new theory is ..indeed PS3 AND XBOX360 BOTH will be stickerbooks, the initial run of genuine ps3 steelbooks product was cancelled, and reformatted for this new jumbo boxes, so konami probably decided to disperse the real ps3 steelbooks to specific vendors who expressed interests or hand them to select retailers in obscure places, that cannot or will not be offering the limited edition, and just a standard edition, so they have a "perk" to move regular copies of games, since the original program got "scrapped" konami probably just wrote off the ps3 real steelbooks, and placed in fresh orders for the stickerbooks for these jumbo boxes, and recouped there losses by the original ps3 steelbook run by switching over to stickerbooks...techinically speaking there still made of steel,..just a decal on top of it,..so konami can still claim there "books of steel" so a "steelbook"...of the 4,000 run,..(we all know it's more like 400,000.)..us 10 or 20 people on these forums complaining is not gonna matter..in fact majority of the people won't care either way,..they'll rip that box right open, wear, wash and launder the shirt, play the game, bang up the stickerbook, and then trade it in..were a small minority of collectors...a dozen e-mails of complaints vs. 10,000 satisfied customers,..konami/zavvi/eb could care less.

oh, one more thing..especially if those concerned voices are originating from outside of Europe or Australia..the rest of the world are'nt techinically suppose to even have it,..so if your complaining to them from US, or Brazil or Canada, or what have you..they'd just laugh it off.

Like I said. Mines going back + my trade copies if its a god damn stickerbook.
I will wait until the price drops.

Finding a mint Steelbook is gonna cost me enough. pffft

Hey peeps. I think I got it.
I now believe, yes the UK have been stitched up. We got a stickerbook whatever format.
Australia gets the steelbook with perhap a few steelies left over that will be distributed elsewhere.
I have just ordered PS3 version from JBHifi, $99.99 each.
Shipping only $13.95.

If by some miracle our ps3 versions are steelbooks, which I now highly doubt. Pictures paint a thousand words. There will be time to cancel JBhifi order. Although at a price a little more than Zavvi's, I wont cancel the JBhifi order.

interesting zavvi only have the X360 version in stock...the only confirmed variant...makes you wonder if they wanted to get those out before the PS3 came out with 'real' steelbooks and cancelled a load of orders.

out of interest is there any evidence of a PS3 stickerbook? I've only seen DVD sized
