Playing the BETA right now... feels empty. It is like a very low budget Skyrim. Voice acting is about on par though.

Sadly feels too much like an MMORPG now... probably gets better in the end game but I have never had enough patience with MMOs to get to the end game stuff where everyone says all MMOss get fun. Th only MMO feeling game I ever like was Kingdoms of Amalur but I suspect because it was still only a single player RPG rather then an MMO. Plus the physical world was more realized then then ESO.

Gotchya, ended up pre-ordering the XB1 version just in case. Can always cancel it by June if I change my mind. Thanks for the heads up about it, much easier to pre-order/cancel on Amazon than Gamestop. We'll see how I feel about it come June.

True, i give beta 2h, game is really bad, take all Skyrim fails and put it in mmo, total disaster. And wants monthly fee for this, LOL. This game is like Skyrim with coop, but take only all wrong things from Skyrim and put it online, i cant recommend it for anybady here :/ GW2 is still BEST mmo so far.

I agree... just not very good. It does not succeed as a ES game nor an MMO really.

Yeah I want to try GW2 at some point... have heard good things and have seen good things. Love the art work and style of the game.

Really I just now have a PC I can play games on so now i am waiting for another free to try week.

Pretty sure the game will go F2P or Buy 2 Pay soon enough.

Ill wait to see if the price of their physcals drops as I've cancelled my pre order after playing this weekend beta, really wanted it to be good but it just bored me shitless, basically a bad Skyrim port to the MMO genre.

I am not sure, but it looks like they take Skyrim engine and modify it for mmo, but its 3y old game and mmo novadays are lightyears away :/ and i am not sure, if this game can live only from Skyrim fans... Succesfull mmo needs around 500k + players for flawless running, age of conan have i think about 100k? and slowly dying, APB die at 25k, so i dont think there is 500k PAYING Skyrim fans.

Yeah I have a feeling it will bee forced into free to play after some time. Might take a year or two though.

I doubt it is the Skyrim engine. I am no developer but I would suspect they built and entirely new engine for this since it is a completely different style game (MMORPG as opposed to SPRPG).

There will be an initial surge of players at first... but if it does not get better then what I saw after a few hours of playing then it will bleed players rapidly.

I can't help but feel that all the negativity surrounding ESO on this board is a bit misplaced.

From the point of view of someone who has thoroughly enjoyed the TES series since Morrowind, I can honestly say that ESO has met my expectations and I'm really having a great time with it!

There's differences yes but I think people are jumping on the bandwagon after one or two hours of playing a beta or even watching some videos on youtube. Plus, based on the way that the devs over at Zenimax Online Studios have been responding to the fanbase during this late stage of development, they really do want to put out the game that people want. There's been so many changes and enhancements over the course of the last 3 betas that anyone who has got a predetermined opinion on the game based off what they saw months ago should really consider holding their judgement until they've experienced it.

Will it go F2P? There's always that possibility because I don't think the MMO market is as lucrative as it used to be so only time will tell. But for the moment, I think they're on the right path with it. The PvE is great, the PvP is great, it looks fantastic and it plays extremeley smoothly.
