I would say the first one is much more valuable and possibly many times as rare. It just has a lot less content. :/ Like the auction says, its the only one on ebay and I'd say the price is more than reasonable.

Not sure where you see them going for consistently less, as I don't think a sealed one has been put up in quite some time (before that one).

They were sold @ Gamestation here in the UK, there was also a Metal Gear Solid 4 version aswell.

- Resident Evil 5 was limited to 555
- Metal Gear Solid 4 was limited to 500

I bought two when they first came out, cost an arm and a leg but as a Resident Evil collector, it needed to be done : ) But thinking of selling one to cover some of my damages this month from this site tempting me with everything! lol
