Metal Gear Solid Ultimate HD Collection Zavvi World Exclusive only 4000 worldwide

I was able to cancel my preorder. I had put in my request on Friday and they cancelled it. I think being located in the US was the only reason I was still able to cancel.

I sent them this message:

"Hi, I have the PS3 version of the Metal Gear Solid HD collection Limited edition ordered. I'm worried because I just saw your unboxing video of the 360 version and noticed that it is in fact a sticker book and not a steelbook.

If that's the case, then that is not what was advertised and I would appreciate it if my order would be cancelled. My order #.................

However, if the PS3 version is still receiving the legitement steelbook than I will gladly keep my order.

Please let me know because it this point, I'm not quite sure what I've ordered.

I guess we pretty much already know that the PS3 version is a sticker book as well. Well, since they went ahead and canceelled my order. There is further proof for anybody still unsure.

so..when asked if it's a stickerbook or a steelbook, these companies are going to say "STEELBOOK" because it is indeed a STEELBOOK.

Next time, we need to ask "is this a PRINTED artwork steelbook or a STICKER artwork steelbook"

personally i still think this is a really nice edition, the outer box design is cool and artbook/t shirt contents are really good. Yes its a stickerbook but for £60 overall i cant complain

Yes it may reduce in sales but i dont want to take that risk

No . . .next time we need to ask "have you got a fucking brain ??" because these guys wouldn't know a steelbook/stickerbook from a hole in their arse.

With regard to a stickerbook BEING a steelbook . . .well yes technically. But ask a collector and they'll tell you that a stickerbook ain't worth a wank

they never really "mislead",..they always said steelbook VARIANT...a variant of a steelbook is a stickerbook..that stickerbook "variant" makes it zavvi exclusive

No, what i'm saying in this particular case..they stuck the word 'VARIANT" in the steelbook description, meaning the stickerbook is derived from a steelbook...so it was'nt really a bait & switch from their part, per description, it was always intended to be a stickerbook for zavvi, but marketing thought "variant" sounds more fancy and elegant, then to say "sticker" which sounds cheap and unwanted.

yet they made a point of saying that they were not going to be stickerbooks on 8th dec
