So, got two e-mails from Amazon about the big fancy AC and DA guides, apparently there's no release date now for the AC one and they supposedly have problems with the manufacturer and the estimated delivery date is about the 5th of December.

It is still showing as available though, but if the Assassins Creed one is anything to go by then I'm expecting it to get cancelled tbh.

Played around with one of these today, the "hidden compartment" was hideously oversold, everything is absolutely huge and looked really awesome (didn't get to play with the map) and the ink bottle is completely empty (suspected as much).
Game is attached in a little holder on the slipcase, they pretty much have a stack of each console and slip it in as you pick it up.

Would you say it was worth the asking price? A lot feedback from people saying it feels cheaply made and was well overpriced.

Yeah still not sure what's going on with the assassins creed one. Is only amazon.co.uk impacted? Or has the entire edition been scrapped?

Honestly I'm not entirely sure anymore, I'd be inclined to think yes but it didn't feel like a concrete 'it's been scrapped' but I don't think I've seen an official word about it since it was announced.


I'm a little concerned about the Dragon Age CE too though, if I'm being honest. I'll still be getting it (haha, too late now considering Gamestop shipped it yesterday), but I have seen quite a few people say that it's cheap crap.

Yeah I saw that as well, but since Will is a member here, and has also seen the edition I thought I would ask for a (more realistic) opinion.

I did read that review, right on the lock pick, quill and ink bottle. The map tokens I thought looked quite good, the badge is huge ( I saw it only very quickly but it looked a little smaller than a cd. The guy who had it didn't saw if there was anything between it, but the tokens are in the lid opposite the steelbook, and were rattling around when they got it. The slipcase around it is a clear plastic, but the outside of the box makes me glad it was, it'll look great alongside my AC Charity box and Panzerhund.
