i would suggest snagging one on ebay right now...i think if there truely is only 2000 physical copies worldwide, i'd figure around 500 opened up and played the game, leaving 1500 sealed around the world..plus of those let's say there's 1000 die hard game collectors..since popularity of game collecting is sky rocketing (note all the limited/collectors editions compared to 10 years ago)...i don't think those
"1000" collectors around the world are too fond of selling of their copies no matter what,..i can only seeing this game going up and up in price..i see some on ebay for around $130 or so as of writing this post...i can't see the price going down if the company stays true to their word.....go for it now, so you don't regret it down the road..only if you collect PS4 games..if it's just for the novelty sake, then don't bother..but if you are collecting PS4 games..then there' will be this "void" in your collection...THIS IS THE "NEW" EARTHBOUND for this generation..THIS WILL BE THE "GOTTA HAVE IT" title once PS4 games are done on the market....it also pulls at our retro heart strings....just my 2 cents.

i estimate a lot of fans got this due to the press it got and short timeframe it sold out, hardened money makers would not of been aware of retro dx and might of overlooked this as a gimmick

i think higher is the amount opened though

and more keepers once the ebay ones are gone you might see one here and there

EARTHBOUND is a Super Nintendo game in the US that when first came out was overlooked, undersold, and underappreciated,..it also came in an oversized box, so retailers were reluctant to carrying it because the game also was boxed with a strategy guide..today super Nintendo/retro game collectors are in a frenzy to add this to their collection..it sells depending on condition up to $2,000...but from stories I heard, back in the day retailers had to clearance them off the shelves..go figure.

not to go off topic, i'm a little weary about CLASS OF HEROES 2G for PS3.US edition...the sticker in the back has a number but does NOT say out of how many printed..plus the ones on sale at Videogamesplus.CA have been on sale for "months" and their the exclusive sellers outside of the direct offering..prices on secondary markets appear soft as well..half of what RETRO DX is commanding..i wish GAIJANWORKS would officially come out and state how many copies were made..i'm not selling mine..but I just don't like when it sounds "suspect".
