It looks like a designer brick in the sense that's how a designer would design a brick so they wouldn't go together to form structures.

Well, I just unboxed my Halo5 LCE. I really like the statues/book-ends. They're not the best quality, but it is by far one of the largest models of Master Chief that I own, and I like it.

As far as the CE over all though, I'm pretty disappointed. The box is huge and I intended to have a few things to look through/open/enjoy but there was really just a jumbo steelbook

(oh how I hate these things) and the statues. Nothing else really. The little metal piece of junk is in the "steelbook" along with a bunch of pamphlets and such. This thing REALLY needed to have an artbook with it! I think I'm spoiled after spending only $120 on the Witcher3 CE... even the $180 I spent on this thing still seems $50 too much.

I'm sure other reviews will likely end up saying the same thing and so we'll probably see these things cancelled and end up for pennies on the dollar on amazon near Christmas time (as they'll be looking to clear up needed warehouse space for sure).

Edit: Oh yeah, and to top it off, there's not even a disc tray in the LCE "steelbook". So when I exchange it for the game I still can't put my disc in unless I order the CE separately?

I do like the packaging though. It's pretty sweet. Just wish there was more underneath the hood. I'll give it a 5.5/10 (for comparisons sake, I'd give Reach Legendary CE a 8.9/10)*

I'm rather upset that they dropped the "numbered" part of the whole thing. I didn't even realize until I was looking over the statue, and then I went looking online and couldn't find anything.

Nice review.

Totally called the statue here and in my vid... you could tell just from that preview unboxing that the statue was pretty hollow (you could hear it when they set it down while saying how nice it was

). Seems it is also as I said they took advantage of the loyal Halo fans on the price and quality of that CE.

Yeah, I just edited my review to add one more point too -- the game case doesn't even have a disc holder tray for the disc, but if you buy the CE (as opposed to the LCE) it does come with one!

Yup, these will be clearanced out. I'm glad I had some reward certs + GCU to soften the blow on this, but still, definitely feel like I paid too much.

Sounds like it was good that I skipped the LCE. Got the console bundle and find the "steelbook" to be very strange. Not sure what they were thinking. Definitely not assembling that miniature metal guardian. Looks like it is way too much of a pain in the ass.

Hey hunter, did the steelbook come with a disc too or just a code? I'm trying to see if there's a difference between the "limited edition" disc art and the standard edition disc art, because MS is trying to say they are sending me the standard edition now? If so, I think they missed a major part of the complaint with purchasing the LCE vs. the CE!
