Yup I've never opened my encyclopedia full of cobwebs either. And thanks for the insight! Another shocker that the main character is Edward... GRANDFATHER OF CONNER!!!
Haha thanks but I have never thought of myself as a good writer. One of the reasons why I started a blog was to improve my writing. I feel my language but sometimes there isn't a proper flow in the sentence structures

Anyway... yea those encyclopedias.. Too nice to flip through, but at the same time so much info in there to read

i can help you with that
whatever CEs next gen will get for AC4 or watchdogs wont be ddifferent but i highly doubt they will make them. the selling point is current gen not the next.
but if there is CEs for next gen whatever different or same as current gen i highly recommend getting all CE on current gen and just standard copy on next gen. why you ask?
its because black flag is a prequel for AC3 and your AC3 collection is on ps3 not ps4, you complete the kenway's saga on a single platform, differ from the pattern when another non desmond related assassin appears as a main character.
the ps4 copy is just for the technical satisfaction
thats what i will do, just 2 uk ps3 CEs high and low and CE guide thats it, maybe a figure if non of the CEs have it.
watchdogs on the other hand is obviously a next gen game mainly, thats where i will buy a next gen CE for it and only high one.

I have no complaint with AC3 really, I did had big expectations in AC3 in terms of expanding your estate, trading, collecting, pelts and getting stronger weapons... but at the end of the game, I still had my old weapons. I barely understood the trading system which is the reason why I was 1/3 of the game and I have to restart all over just to understood it but never used it... and collecting pelts doesn't feel rewarding. I could also have skipped capturing forts missions but I decided not too. Its the same thing with Revelations but since its the culmination of Ezio's saga I could just ignore the game system and focus on the story more which balanced out. What won me over for AC3 is frontier, amazing scenery, a halfassed story line where the half is really really good and the half is really really bad and with these, I ranked AC3 the very bottom of all AC games.

My thoughts on Black Flag. For Ubisoft I really expect the setting to be in Japan, or Egypt for the next game. But this is really a shocker. If they pull off an amazing ship game where half of the missions are driving a ship I wouldn't mind controlling ships for half of the game, I really enjoyed it last game and I really thought my captain'ing career in AC3 wasn't enough
I hope they have a friendly character (or even the mentor) that has the same characteristics with Captain Jack Sparrow. I can't wait for recruiting Assassin Pirates, running around port royal, and last but not least the CE's

On the side note... please UBI, release a Desmond Statue!
i agree with you on what made AC3 a great gameplay experience.
multiplayer in black flag will revamped greatly, i say that because of the survey i received from ubi about multiplayer experience in AC3. that aswell will be another selling point.
hmmmm black flag will be everything and better than what risen 2 should have been....quite sad actually.
oh well have to wait awhile to discover how great AC4 is really is.

@TruenoBoy86: I understand where you are coming from and I agree with you on certain points. But I collect stuff based on the franchise rather than CEs based on console. I'm more interested in the content inside each CE. If the content is related to the game (Not shoes, keychains, pins etc), I will be interested even it's for PS3, PS4 or PC

I actually posted a longer post explaining my reasoning but I think I closed the window before I posted it. I'm lazy to type it all over again...

Freedom underpins everything in Assassin's Creed 4.

There are eight studios working on the game. Ubisoft Montreal is leading, with Singapore, Sofia, Annecy, Kiev, Quebec, Bucharest, and Montpellier assisting.

AC4 is set in the West Indies in 1715, the world is totally seamless.

There are 50 unique locations including cities, jungles, ruins, coves, and caves, all with hidden treasure and adventure.

You can harpoon whales, go diving, and loot ships

There will be proper assassinations with targets that you choose how to approach and take out.

You'll fight against, and alongside, infamous brigands like Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach, Benjamin Hornigold, Calico Jack, and Anne Bonny.
Major cities include Kingston and Havana, and there'll be dozens of smaller settlements and port towns scattered around the world to explore and pick up missions from.

The new hero is Edward Kenway - father of AC3's Haytham. He is selfish, cocky, and charismatic.

Edward owns his own ship, the Jackdaw. It can be upgraded, repaired, and customised, and you can manage her crew.

As you sail the high seas you can climb the crow's nest and use a spyglass to search for ships on the horizon. This tells you how strong they are and what cargo they're hauling

Weather and physics will play a larger role in naval combat

There are different classes of enemy ship, including 'chargers' who'll try and ram you and shatter your hull.

There aren't any interruptions in the transition between naval combat and boarding a ship

You can approach ships from any angle, weaken them with your cannons, then attach grapples to pull them towards you and storm the deck. Or swim around the back unnoticed and slit the captain's throat for the stealth-loving players.

Instead of Desmond, the modern day is centered around you, a 'research analysts' working at Abstergo and living out the past Edward Kenway,

Many of the multiplayer modes from previous games will return

It all looks fantastic. The waves are especially impressive, tossing ships around as lightning streaks across the sky.
Footage shown was likely running on a development PC

Ubisoft are planning an 'enhanced' PlayStation 4 version that will make use of the new controller, and have much better visuals

Coma' nice review
I would like to say that this game is not in full production set
Some of the studios mentioned to be helping on this installment are yet to begin work on it
I am guessing there will be fast travel to places you have already unlocked for people who wish to speed through the game and avoid the ships
Same mechanics as previous fast travels from every franchise and game ever

Comaamen86 what footage shown? Ign stream from ubi announce?
Linkies pweez

Also
Assassin's creed IV RPG
No mentions of co-op
8 player co-op? In freeroam? Please

well we will get AC4 early on current gen than next gen, next gen might be 1-2 months away and with that i doubt they will release an exclusive CE, but for watchdogs there is a high chance that they will make a CE whatever exclusive or same as current gen, as its a new ip and totally looking next gen people. and its very highly anticipated.
