to answer your question better, that press kit from first glance looks to be a general paper kit it might have a media asset disc but sure it would of been noted

Well, a press kit is a bunch of stuff given to journalists usually before the game's launch, in order for said journalists to review / preview / write about the game.

A kit MUST include assets (screenshots, videos, art and of course PR text describing the game) to be defined as a real press kit (For example, Uncharted 3 does not have a real press kit).
Kits usually come in a nice package and include branded swag (Gifts) to make the journalist happy :-).
Some are numbered, some are not.
Most come with the full version of the game, but some don't. That's it, in a nutshell.
