God of War: Ascension Collectors Edition announced

During the E3 2012, Sony has announced a collector’s edition for God of War: Ascension. It includes the following items:

– Steelbook case
– Kratos statue
– The digital game soundtrack
– PS3 dynamic theme
– PSN avatar pack, with double XP points for multiplayer
– And a DLC pass to unlock all future DLC releases for free

Also announced were pre-order incentives for both the standard and collector’s edition, which will include the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer DLC Pack. The collector’s edition will run $79.99, while the standard edition is $59.99. The game will be released on March 12th 2013.

    Surprised it's only $79.99, usually anything with a figure/statue will be $99.99

    The steelbook closed the deal, but they never learn. Include an artbook, soundtrack, making of... stop including toys!!!!!!!

    ... Statues are no toys! I would say: Stop including steelbooks (I can't stand them) and include more statues, props etc.; an artbook (the quality of the The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Collector's Editions artbooks) and an OST on CD(!) should be olbigatory, too.

    and that shitty statue replaces important info such as soundtrack cd, artbook or making of video. But looks like you love that stuff, keep collecting "statues with generic face number 4632"

    Way to slag someone else off just because they like something you dont. I agree with Vicarocha, I'd rather have a statue. I've bought a lot of the CE's with statues the past few years, and most of them are good quality. All I really look for in a CE is something different to what I already have, and seeing as I dont have anything Kratos, Im there day 1

    I like statues too, and I also love steelbooks - tbh, the more physical content in a CE, the better Steelbook, statue, CD soundtrack, good quality artbook, nice outer packaging etc - all awesome in my book xx

    Of course the ones by the likes of Sideshow etc will be better quality, that's to be expected for a figure/statue that's $300+ compared to an extra £50~ in a CE - but either way, I still like statues in CEs. Not that that means I can't like better quality statues too xx

    But that's the problem for £50 you can't expect much.

    Like an incomplete soundtrack cd vs a full OST

    The classic little artbook (GTA IV, deus ex: HR) vs the one inside diablo's CE, MGS HD, bioshock 2 etc etc etc.

    They charge you more, for something mediocre.

    I love statues. Some of my favourite CE-included ones are the AC2 white/black edition one, the vanquish one and the new ghost recon figure. Also, they don't necessarily have to be expensive either. For instance I really like that R2 chimera figure.

    I like steelbooks too. So this will be a must-buy for me. Steelbook + Figure, perfect combo.
