i wish they would top it off with steelbook packaging...i bet nonetheless..it won't be particularly rare since it's wide release..and i think the japanese packaging will probably be different..and maybe even a konami store japan version?,.just speculation on my part.

The official site for the recently announced Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection is now live, and features an image of the complete package.

The Legacy Collection is expected to be available in Japan in June exclusively for the PS3.

The package will include: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 (which includes the original MSX versions of METAL GEAR and METAL GEAR 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

MGS 2, 3, and Peace Walker will all come in their 'HD Edition' forms, and the collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels.

The site also features some cool, desktop wallpaper friendly, artwork, which you can see below.






















There’s also a timeline of all the games, and screens of each game from the MSX original Metal Gear to Metal Gear Solid: Peace walker.

The pack has also been confirmed for a North American release.

Does anyone know what these are? "Metal Gear Solid: Bande Dessinee & Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinee" & ""Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Book". It appears they are blu ray films included in the package on their site, yet no other news article mentions them? I assume the "Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Book" is just the game booklet as the pic would suggest...

These are just voice acted interactive graphic novels. Similar concept of the psps digital graphic novel but not put on psp basically.

i wonder if the US version will be identical to the japanese packaging?..to me..the overall asethetics and packaging look more like greatest hits, then anything..just more or less generic boxes with text font...i would of wished more art in the line of the 25th FF japan edition rehash..at least it had beautiful colors and vivid art...this one looks boring..nonetheless i will probably order one, if the price screams value..but i am under the impression it will be mass produced..probably can be picked up down the road cheaper.

another point,..i think this one begs for a digipak layout..i think it would look far nicer, then just the standard cases.
