Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition Announced For Europe

Today, Nintendo has announced a Limited Edition package for their upcoming Wii U-exclusive Fun-Racer Mario Kart 8. The Limited Edition, which is so far only confirmed for release in Europe, will come with a blue spiny shell collector's item alongside a physical copy of the game.

The Limited Edition of Mario Kart 8 can be pre-ordered at Game UK for ? 59.99 GBP.? Also customers in the UK & Ireland who have already pre-ordered a standalone copy of Mario Kart 8 will have the opportunity to upgrade pending availability.

Mario Kart 8 will hit UK shelves on May 30.

OMG!!! I sooo want this!!!!..damn region locking!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....I might still cave in!!..I just hope it's not a overal P.O.S. packaging such as the one for GAME Zelda 3DS...thank u for pointing this out!!!!!!!!!!

LOL..on second thought..it seems nothing more than a boxed pre order trinket..lol..they could of at least thrown in a steelbook or a unique box art cover.

I just recently saw a bunch of Club Nintendo Mario Kart trophies on Ebay.co.uk (which obviously never made it to the states), those seem 100x better than this thing. Guess I'll pre-order it over here anyway just in case they do the same thing they did with Windwaker.

Looks like it'll be exactly the same actually, doesn't it? Minus the separate poster. I definitely didn't expect them to do this kind of CE again after how many problems there were with dented boxes, refunds, and exchanges with the Zelda one.

I looked up what your were talking about on YouTube, and damn those are sweet. How much were they in the Stars Catalogue? This plastic blue spikey shell really doesn't compare, does it? I still like it, but I really don't think I like GAME repackaging popular Nintendo games in non-durable boxes with nothing more than a preorder bonus and calling it a CE.

As I know they are 5000 stars each..
