Default Back in the UK. Let's get the ball rolling.

Hey guys,

I'm Kane, a 22 year old student from the UK. I've bought a few collectors/limited editions over the years but never really thought about starting a "proper" collection, however after spending a year in Bahrain I've decided that I want to add to my currently limited collection.

I'm focusing mostly on steelbooks, as they're easily displayed and look beautiful, but I'll be buying a few collectors/limited editions to go along with them (mostly for game series that I really enjoy, alongside a few that have steelbooks included.)

For more photos of the items check out exohain.com

Most of my collection will be Films, PS4 and PC games.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

This is the place if you're looking to expand a collection, but your wallet will hate you!

Thanks

Yeah, I've already spotted a few things that I'm tempted by from here (Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary edition anyone?), and my wallet is crying out. Luckily I've saved a bit in my year out here (gotta love being paid tax-free!) and I should be able to find a job when I return in September. If not I'll have to seriously think about whether I actually *need* some items

Oh I have no doubt. I've purchased collectors editions and things before, but never thought to actually properly collect them, I tended to just buy them for the extras then lose them when moving.

I'm going to have a proper system when I get back though, will pick up some display cases to show things off in and make use of plastic storage boxes for things that I'm not displaying.

Ideally I'd like to dedicate a wall to steelbooks, but I can't make any "permanent" modifications to the house as it's student accommodation, so to counteract this I'm thinking about making something hat will hang on the back of my room door that has a magnetic backing so that I can have them all hung up somewhere.

Thanks for the welcome

You'll be waiting a while unfortunately, I'm not going to have everything set up until mid september at this point (moving back to the UK at the start of September, then moving into my new house in mid-september)

I'm considering picking up a few glass display cabinets from Ikea though, I like the idea of having my desk flanked by them.

Welcome, loving the steelbooks so far. I'm hoping they bring out a collection of the star wars films once all 9 have been released!!!

Cheers, yeah the star wars steelbooks are nice, still deciding if I'm keeping them or if I'm giving them to Mum for Christmas. My only issue is the force awakens doesn't fit in with the other zavvi steelbooks, it's getting on my nerves.

Side note: I might actually watch the films for the first time ever soon...
