Limited Edition Laser Cell for Call of Duty Pre-Orders

Amazon.com has recently changed their pre-order bonus on the Upcoming Call of Duty Black-Ops from a $20 off credit to a Limited Edition Laser Cell. This is valid for all versions of the game.

The first 100,000 to pre-order since the change will receive the cell, as well as a downloadable computer wallpaper version.

By comparison GameStop's Pre-Order Bonus is a "high-altitude flight suit skin" for your Xbox Live or PS Home Avatar.

LOL - Only 100,000 this is going to be super rare.

I stand by my decision to boycott the entire series, it's fast becoming another FIFA, madden, tiger, re- run after re-run.

I'll pick up the cell for £2-3 about 2 weeks after the game releases.

Activision wants more money. Recently they suggest to charge extra for Starcraft II cutscene. LOL. Those guys are the worst of the worst.

the impression I got is that they'd like to do this across all of their games and just used StarCraft as an example.

So is the cell a tangible wallpaper kind of thing? Also how would you know if you're the first 100,000 anyway?

The pre-order bonus is exclusive to Amazon, when the first 100,000 stock allocation has been pre-ordered, the bonus will be removed from their listing.

Also note that anyone that pre-ordered prior to the unveiling of the bonus ,will also get the cell aswell and they are at front of the queue.

To be honest I wouldn't worry about not getting the Cell, I mean 100k copies is a hgh amount for one store. Even if they run out they will be dirt cheap 1-2weeks after release.

Ebay will have plenty afterwards, Amazon Market place is unlikely to have them.

I think the best place will be forum classifieds, they tend to have the lowest price.

It depends on which country you are from, for the UK avforums is good.
