Noticed there wasn't a PAL version in the database, also while the NTSC version is in the database, there little information. I think it's the same contents but needs confirming.

Both PC and Xbox versions are the same except the game and cover. Also PC version not in database either for both PAL and NTSC regions.

Please note that while Amazon UK says the game has not yet been released. Shopto have both Xbox and PC version in stock.

I have ordered one from Coolshop myself and will confirm that it is PAL when it arrives.

Arcania Gothic 4 Collectors Edition PAL Xbox 360/ PC

    Collector's Edition contains:

    The Game

    A3 Poster

    Arcania Sticker

Artbook - The Art of Arcania

    Storybook - The Cleaved Maiden

    Authentic Cloth Map

    Soundtrack CD

All in a leather look case with a 3D Crystal on the front.

Unboxing video for PC version. All the unboxing videos seem to be German so it has been released in other regions already so not sure why Amazon don't have it yet.

    Wow. This looks good.

  3. scourdx:
European always get CE. It doesn't seems like N. American is getting any.

  4. twistedsymphony:
everything I've read indicates that while this game has been released the US the CE has not and that the CE is forth coming (several retailers have it listed for pre-order) quite strange indeed...

I finally got my copy, surprised this was not released in NTSC regions.

Here is a picture of what the PAL one I got looks like.

  7. scourdx:
I think Gothic 3 nearly ended the franchise. It was a broken game and I'm not surprise it didn't get CE treatment in N. America.

Yep, Gothic 3 was pretty much a broken game.

  9. Gemini-Phoenix:
Where the hell did this creep out from? I've never even heard of the game, let alone a CE for it.

Hang on one second, the GAME website states that this isn't due out until February 2011, and they list no such CE, so what's going on here?

I know what you mean Gemini, I had never heard of the series before. I think it was PC based before it was released on the Xbox.

I don't get the GAME.co.uk released date either, I manage to secure a copy from Coolshop.co.uk aswell as Shopto.net.

  11. Mandingo:
Yeah, a lot of PC game series are seemingly moving to the consoles, like Fallout and Deus Ex.

  12. Gemini-Phoenix:
The fact that this is such an obscure CE might mean it will become sought after in the future.

  13. Ayiu:
Yes, the Gothic series started on the PC and was really popular here in Germany.
After part 3 which was really broken the developer separate and every single one made their own game.
So the game Risen accrued in 2009 and in 2010 Arcania: Gothic 4

I think they just called it Gothic 4 for advertising purposes....
The game was okay...but will never reach the older parts. They took away too much things which made the older parts so lovely and this was only done to make the game more attractive to the western part of the world and for sure to make more money.

I think they failed... but the truth can only tell their sales statistics.

Here in Germany the game was out on October 15th and there are still enough CE for order.

  14. Knoell:
What is the story with this game? Amazon has a link to it when you search, but it just leads back to the regular edition that has been released already. Why is the CE coming out so long after the game?

  15. gurpswoo1:
It looks like the edition was originally announced but no limited edition is coming , I would guess the the PC version is the same as the one released in Europe.

The Euro collector's edition is the only one released, which I got recently.

  16. Knoell:
Ok thanks. It is just weird Amazon has it on their search still, maybe they just haven't cleaned it out yet though.

Have you played the game? I was looking forward to trying something different. I might opt in for the regular edition. It is only $39.99 on Amazon right now.

a few places have it listed as coming next month... I'm not quite sure what to think.

    newegg.com

    buy.com

    deepdiscount.com

I'm honestly half tempted to pre-order it just to see what happens.

anyone know who has the best return policy in case I end up with something else altogether?

Google shopping even has a UPC for the thing: 625904797643

  18. gurpswoo1:
I haven't played it myself, but there's plenty of positive reviews on the game. It similar to Risin and is best played on the PC rather than the Xbox. Although you need a power pc to run it.

I too don't understand the listing on the game, because we have it here in the UK as well but still no sign of it being released. Not by Amazon or other UK retailers anyway.

  19. twistedsymphony:
I placed a pre-order with buy.com... they have a 45 day return policy 100% money back with free return shipping... so we'll see what happens
