Limited Edition OUYA Console Announced
If you haven’t heard about OUYA, it’s a new console that was recently announced by way of a Kickstarter. Rather than another big-name-brand console OUYA is designed to be low priced for consumers and developers alike. It’s based on the Android operating system and is basically a $100 (USD) console that lets you play smart phone and tablet games and apps on your HDTV.
There are lots of other great reasons you should be interested in this console so I encourage you to check out the video above.
If you’re wondering why a console that takes no physical media is being mentioned on a website for people who collect physical media video games, that’s because a Limited Edition OUYA was announced just recently and you’ll only have a few days to snag one. For an Extra $40 (USD) instead of a silver OUYA you’ll get one in a “rich BROWN BRUSHED METAL FINISH”. Its unclear if the included controllers come in that finish as well or if there are other special traits that makes this edition unique.
It’s worth noting that there are higher “donation” tiers available that offer other special features such as getting your name etched into the console and controller. For those of you outside the US, they do ship internationally too.
Wow! Just Wow!!!

I personally signed up for a regular edition when the kickstarter first started... I upgraded to the LE when I heard about it. so you guys can expect pictures when this thing is released next year.
only 40 hours left for the kickstarter... after that you'll miss your opportunity to get the LE.
Pre-ordered the Limited Edition
