Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Collector’s Edition available to pre-order in America – Will tell you how late it is

Today Square Enix has announced the Collector’s Edition of, the last game set in the Final Fantasy XIII universe, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

The game will only be available on what’s just become the last generation, in written words PS3 & Xbox 360, and is hitting stores on Febraury 11th, 2014 in North America and only two days later February 14th, 2014 in Europe.

The Collector’s Edition of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is available exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store for $89.99 USD (~ €65 EUR) and contains the following:

  • Premium packaging featuring artwork from the Japan release
  • 80 page hardcover artbook containing Tetsuya Nomura’s original sketches of Lightning, a foreword from art director Isamu Kamikokuryo, and concept art from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
  • Silver embossed pocket watch
  • DLC code for Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith Gainsborough’s “Midgar’s Flower Girl” outfit

So far the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Collector’s Edition is only confirmed for America. No details yet on availability in Europe or Australasia.

    I'm super excited about the Edition and all I need to know is if the Square Enix shop charges upfront and will there be a group buy?

    Bout time they announced something, really hope UK gets one. I'm going into GAME on Friday so ill ask them then, but they are usually pretty clueless TBH.

    I thought there was no hope for a CE in the UK, so I preordered Lightning Returns, the Steelbook one last week, Might have to change it if there is a CE coming. Fingers crossed that there will be.
