CE Nominees 2012

Well i only see the nominees for the last year so im wondering, what are your best and possibly worst CE this year?.

best far cry 3 insane, good value for money

Worst for me was the MGS HD Zavvi one, mainly because of Zavvi's treatment of it and the flimsy nature of the box/inserts. Best would be the ME3 Alliance edition, nice box, decent contents and properly limited in numbers (1100)

But I'm sure there are better and worse out there, it's just that I don't buy them.

I think AC 3 freedom edition is probably the best. Borderlands could have been great, but they screwed us with the amount produced.

Definitely!! Glad I never bought one of those. Still holding out for another price slash, as is everybody else I assume!? XD

Don't know what I would nominate for this year's best CE. IMO, it would be Hitman Deluxe Professional Ed. Cost me 55GBP for the game, a nice figure which was a good size, artbook and a nice package. Not to mention, the game is ace! :D Just my opinion. ;)

hitman is me second choice, far cry 3 insane wins in value terms got it for 43 pound and pennies, nice bobblehead, island guide, really cool holder and lots of dlc.

Agreed RE6 was overpriced, I'm glad I waited as EB had a sale recently here in OZ and I got it for $60, gotta be happy with that.

Best CE to me is I dunno, need to think about that one :)

The most outrageous price -> Prototype 2 Blackwatch - basically nothing in the box

The most visual impressive -> Call of duty Black Ops 2 care package

Most disappointing (for me) -> Borderlands 2 loot chest

Most value for the money -> Street fighter 25th anniversary

Honorable mentions -> Assassins Creed 3 freedom / Max Payne 3

In terms of quality/content/price was AC 3 Freedom Edition the best one so far this year. Diablo 3 CE was really nice too and got to mention Risen 2 Czech Wooden Keg Edition and also Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest. I don't know which edition was the worst cause I buy only quality and beatiful ones. :)

For me the best would be AC3 Freedom Edition. Classy packaging, great contents for the price and steelbook!

And the worst would be RE6 cos that is a load of junk even with a steelbook included :haha:

Favourite one I got was Catherine Stray Sheep edition. Just seemed like a nice size, wasn't much more in terms of cost than the game on its own, and thought it was nice touch that the extras you got were items from the game eg: T-Shirt, Pizza box etc.

Best one I seen in-store is probably Far Cry 3 Insane Edition.
