Well new to me anyways

http://www.vgquality.com/

Apparently it's a new grading service, seems to mainly focus on retro stuff

Nintendo systems etc.

Here's their about me taken from their site:

"Over 25 years of experience in the Video Game Market operating a video game store in the late 80's into the early 90's selling official products direct from Nintendo & Sega with training in official seals of quality. A foundation you can count on when grading sealed or open nostalgic video games."

Here's an example auction:

Case doesn't look as nice as VGA's but maybe they have more character?

Would like to know what they mean by "training in official seals of quality" though

Videogame authority looks more "professional" but they're just a group of randoms pulling numbers out of their asses.

Yep that's how I feel as well about VGA

All a bit too closed door for me

indeed but they seem to be doing a good job of pushing vga

waste of money though

and tbh if you look after your stuff you could slap it in a plastic case at any point in its life and the grade will be the same

I'd trust your opinion over that of random people who might not even care about games :P

Woo customers.. Now to buy the same acrylic cases most music/dvd stores have and get some stickers made.. Its like $30 per thousand holographic stickers

I imagine shipping would be a pain

Don't collect sealed games though but if I did I would certainly consider grading them and don't really trust VGA personally

I would imagine $30 shipping for a single dvd/steelbook internationally, maybe $10 locally at most, dilevery optional for large collections numbering over 200 games lol

On an update note, i found the supplier for the lockable standard acrylic cases, but i think collectors want air tight.. Which is simple acrylic glue.. Getting closer to a grading service.. Or atleast really good shipping protection :D
