Probably my Sander Cohen statue. It was gifted by Ken Levine to people that worked on the original Bioshock game, and to a handful of press people and fans. I can't remember how many they made, but it's just a little over 100 if memory serves.

I came close to owning a Sonic the Hedgehog statue that is 1 of 1 and was at Sega of America in the president's office back in Sonic's heyday. That would've been the ultimate piece. :(

Maybe my sealed Fallout 1 big box, still sealed and not damaged Bioshock CE or Art of Dead Space clamshell. Nothing too rare I think.

I think the most uncommon item I own which hasn't come up for sale in a while is my Silver Zelda DSL. ^^ They made 1000 of those though...

the emily strange ce is a gyp really, they done emily strange skateboarding for pc same style 200, numbered but it just feels like a bunch of stuff was chucked in a themed box with a number quickly jotted on

It was on auction twice before it actually sold. I watched as nobody bid the first time out. I passed on it because I thought it was too expensive at the time. In hindsight though, it wasn't expensive at all. Considering the rarity and importance of the piece, the price was incredibly reasonable. It was only $500. Passing on it was the biggest mistake.

By the time it went on auction the second time out, I actually realized how important and reasonably priced it was. However it was still a day or two after it was relisted that I realized this. By then, someone else had also realized the importance of the piece and contacted the seller and had the listing taken down and shipped to him.

I have one of them but mine appears to have the Kojima signature re-done by the original owner as it was smudging off :facepalm: xx

Nall from Lunar.
Took me years to hunt one down... then I had to throw more money than I should of at the seller. Originally sold in Japan by ESP in 1994. A couple were then bought by Victor Ireland (president of Working Designs at the time) for the Lunar: EB Haiku contest. He sold the remaining later on via eBay. Nall is ridiculously hard to find nowadays. Still can't believe I managed to find one for my collection after all those years. C:

Yeah, it is just the signed version, there is a black Zavvi signed version aswell which is a lot rarer, i think there are just 20 or something like that.

Anywhere from $350 to $600.
Someone had one up for $1,200 but I don't think it sold for THAT much.
I have been offered $700 in a Flickr mail, though (not sure if the person would have come through. I told them I wasn't interested in parting with mine and that was the end of that). They seem to be going up in value as they are showing up less and less frequently (can be a few years without seeing any around). I'm a huge Lunar fan and I had ALWAYS regretted not buying the "cheap" ones Ireland put up on eBay ($99 back then)! Learned the hard way that it's not always wise to wait (I waited more than 10 years for this, yikes).

well beta disc are really rare in general yes. Assassins creed i think there are 500+ copies.

The dishonored press kits, either all the journo's that got one love it so much that they didnt sell it, or there are really only just a few of it.

Nothing magical about this. :'D Just "right place, right time" on eBay. Snagged it for a great price. Later learned that approx ~20 were given away via gaming media... the original fedex label was in the box I got mine in, and it came from G4.

This is probably my rarest item. The original Kasumi-Chan Xbox console that was made before the rename of the game. The final version says "Ultimate" instead of "Online." Most of these were probably destroyed or re-used. I also have a little bit of provenance on this console.

I'm pretty sure I got my copy from someone that bought it from you, and that shortly theafter had buyer's remorse or something. I think I got mine for like $180 USD shipped if memory serves.

I just remember the seller telling me that he just "took a bath on the deal" by selling it to me for that price. I'm guessing he paid you a lot of money for it.

By its nature I didn't think there would be an edition no but usually there are maker marks on things

I would say my Darksiders Press Kit or my Infinite Press Kit are the rarest (and my favorite) items.

Time will tell how rare the Infinite Kit is but I know the Darksiders 1 kit is extremely rare.

I paid roughly the same for both (a little less for Darksiders due to condition).

Some other have some nice items! Congrats all to your collections!

I got my unsigned Liara litho framed today along with my 'Embrace eternity' screen print and Miranda mini litho (I want a full sized signed one if anyone has one)....They look great, the metallic inks on the embrace eternity look sweet, the guy at the framing shop commented on the unusual printing and ink used.

I'll get pics up tomorrow when I hang them.....I reckon the guy at the framing store will give me a funny look when I go back with the same Liara print LOL

Yes,thanks again for not bidding to much:D At least you know where it ended up & its in good hands. Statue arrived in one piece & undamaged i am glad to say. The outer box had the odd little dent from transit which was a slight bummer. I am just happy it otherwise arrived damage free:D

Cheap to me,AU$640 inc postage.Roughly the same as what the 200 version cost when they first came out. Though the seller under quoted postage so i will be sending him a few extra dollars. There was another that was listed not long after that went for about AU$1100 exc postage,so it was definately a good price:)

The other statue like the one i got where only 100 were made sold for $1100,which to me was still a cheap deal. So by my way of thinking the price i paid was to me a bargain deal & theres probably some who would agree,i think:)

Need some help with this one I know which is rarest, that would be the Borderlands Tile which is OOAK. But, there are other rarities among the collection what would you guys say. The Ninja is less than 30 world wide, that number is straight from Klei, and The Maw concept art signed by the team was given out at PAX East 2013 one a day for a total of 3 plus I think Twisted Pixel kept one. Then there is Dark Souls Press Kit, incomplete. If given the chance to have one of the four which would you guys choose?

The problem with stating which item is the "rarest" is that even amongst us collectors we use the term incorrectly. Often what most people actually mean when they say rarest is the most valuable which is not the same thing.

Rarest in this case would simply be whatever item has the least number of copies which appears to be the Borderlands tile followed by the maw concept then the ninja then lastly the dark souls press kit

As for which item is the most valuable that's much much harder to determine because it depends on desirability from both how big the collector base is for that game and how desirable is that specific item. It doesn't help that many collectors don't bother to research much into how rare an item actually is as can be seen with the AC crouching altair statue that is often attributed to 100 or less in existence when we know it's at least 1000 or 2000, or the AC III tomahawk which has popped up so often no way it's limited to 100 either. Yet collectors still pay big money for these items even though there are far rarer AC items out there.

For your most valuable item I would say the Borderlands tile probably followed by the DSII press kit. While the ninja and maw concept are much much rarer I don't believe they have nearly the active collector base or desirable nature of the ds II press kit

Agree rarity does not equal value, but I would have guessed that the press kit would be the most valuable. That tile sold for $250 at the borderlands auction but I have no idea on the prices of press kits. I'd still take the tile out of that lot almost bid on it last year.

You could be right about the press kit being more valuable than the tile

It really would depend on how you advertise the tile on an ebay listing as to how much it would go for I would imagine

I think it could be worth quite a bit more than 250 if you found the right collector

Of all the collectors edition I have, there is 1 Item only I have and is for me my most prized possession.

It's nothing exceptional but I'm particularly proud of it since it took me quite a while to finish it. ( the picture is 4 years old if i'm not wrong )

Yeah I a lucky to have gotten it, but it is not the absolute grail for Darksiders IMO... there is one item for Darksiders 1 that there are only 12 of that i want.

I had a chance a long time ago on eBay but I did not have the money to bid on it sadly. But that one had a broken finger, but still I would have loved to have it broken index finger or not. Sold for around $1,100 I believe (plus an unreal amount of shipping cost).

Lol... yeah I have gotten almost every item I have ever set my mind to. Honestly never really set it too hard on the statue due to its inevitable cost. But if I wanted it bad enough back then I would have found a way I suppose, but it was early in my collecting.

Now i am broke again so I hope one does not pop up for awhile but I would take the statue of the guitar anyday... but obviously best case is to have both. Wish I would have saw one a few months ago... I would have had the cash then.

Unfortunately right now I am paying out of pocket for a treatment program I am in... this is killing me financially but I got t do it.

Also I recently got my PS4 and a 40" Samsung 1080p TV, plus I got a new gaming laptop (this was all before the cash for my program issue arose... so I was already $2,000 down when that came around).
