I think he wrote that he got both versions and there is no difference about the size of the steelbooks.

Like me...couse when you read it...you think directly that he had a ps3 CE too, couse who expects a G2 steel in xbox...

Know need to know amazon size....

I get mine today from amazon. I'm hoping it's not G2 i would hate to buy a G1 separately even tho I know I will later down the road...

I'm glad there's a G2, a bit choked but still glad!

So weird though I'm going to be going back to my EB games now for an exchange.

My copies for PS3 and 360 were both G1... I guess someone made a packing mistake? haha

Sorry about the wrong information I had both copies thought they would be legit lol.

It is a massive 40cm tall, 45cm wide and 26cm from front to back...

It is also 5.5kg so hope the shelf is strong :)

No problem

I'll just check but it's pretty much the same height - the figure is packed in the main part of the box with the map rolled up and secured inside the figures plastic container. There is a divider and down the back are the two 'canvas' prints, the game, steelbook, soundtrack and flag :)

Ye.. :P Well it does also says 55 cm if you look at the picture of the Black Chest :p Just from there I know :p

I won't answer your question
Ubishop has extra stock, this is reserve stock for people who receive damaged items or people who make returns, and IF there is any left over after all the returns have been made and everyone who received a damaged copy has received a replacement
THEN what ever remains will be listed for sale, this number could range from 0 to 1000 or more but generally it is in the 0-3 ball park

The PS3 version is showing as available on uplay website, but for whatever reason it just wont let me order!!
I have tried all 3 payment options, bpay, credit card and paypal, just keeps saying payment authorisation failed...

That's strange, it worked for me. I did want the ps4 version instead, but I'll take ps3 since it's available.

I paid with Paypal. I'm using Firefox version 25.0 for PC. Perhaps try updating your browser, or try a different one. If that doesn't work for you, try using a different device. If you have a smart phone, use the web browser on that to make your order and see if it works.

I have tried internet explorer, chrome and now firefox, have tried 2 different uplay accounts, tried all 3 payment methods.
They just don't seem to want to take my money, everytime it says payment authorisation failed...

Yep, credit card connected to paypal, but I have also tried directly with credit card and even tried the BPay option and that wouldn't work.
I haven't tried buying on my phone, I will try that, if that doesn't work I think ill have to give up.
I emailed them about 2 weeks ago and they haven't responded.
Not great service that's for sure.

Okay so I tried my phone also, I have tried everything possible.
They just don't want me to order it, maybe its the world telling me not to spend more money on AC. I do already have the 2 statues, the Bucaneer edition for ps4 on order from EB Games here in Aus. Plus I have the collectors edition guide and art book, I just wanted this version for the figurine to make it 4 statues and the steelbook and canvasses are cool too.

Sadly it was a G1 :(

Hopefully with both next-gen systems now being Blu-Ray discs and therefore both being G2 size cases, in future we should be seeing mostly G2 Steels.

Was just in of the local GameStop and they have a lot of them just standing in top of shelfs...
And here some months ago they sold Freedom edition for pc to 250 dkk.. So hope this will get sold to that price too :)

Yes I can see that for pc but zx1 or x360 I don't know
Ubishop uk has none in stock but the only other uk retailer to stock them has some in store and stock online so I really hope I can get one cheaper

The flag was the piece I was most looking forward to getting, and I am really not happy with it.
I was expecting a thick cotton type material with the logo embroided onto it, but instead it feels like cheap plasticy c**p.

I totally agree on the quality of the European flag - not worth including IMO as it cheapens the whole edition... It is poor quality thin and shiny. No self respecting pirate would be hoisting that napkin...

They are both made of horrible shiny nothingness but if I could have a black canvas flag with the ragged edges of the European one and the embroidered logo of the US one I'd be a happy bunny...

I couldn't believe it when I unpacked the black chest... The canvas lithos are on the naff side but the flag takes the biscuit.... :sick: :tomato:

I couldn't have said it better myself.
I was looking forward to the canvas artworks and like you say, pretty naff. Then I saw the flag and instantly felt like I had wasted money haha

But the crazy thing is that the chest itself is great, the figure superb, the steel excellent and I always like a physical soundtrack but for me I'd rather have one decent printed, numbered litho instead of the canvas car boot sale art pieces and the flag is just dire....

Oh, and the game is pretty good tho :1:

Glad to hear the prints are not utterly shabby. They were the last real pull with me shelling out the extra $$ for this version. :)

Just got my PS4 from Amazon USA here in Australia and the game looks very nice much improvement over AC3. The box gets a bit warm on top that's after two hours running around like a madman in BF finding everything. Pissed I can not change the drive out as I can't get a USB stick or portable drive to be seen by the PS4.

So far enjoying it can get lost in it and never play on the PS3 again going to be hard for me to get a game on 3 as this change it big time. Looks like if he game I'm looking at on 3 is not a good deal then I can wait or just move on to something else. Dark Souls 2 CE has me split now game or things in the box? The car boot art did not go down with me too prints would of been better to put in a frame.
