I am a Assassins Creed collector and would like to know how you show your collections and if you have any tips on doing so.

For example, do you show your collections in glass cabinets, on shelves or even hidden away in a cupboard?

I am just looking for ideas and any photos that you may have of your collections. Hopefully I will take some inspiration from what I see.

If you have the space, the best way is to display everything on shelves and glass cabinets..

If you don't, keep them in the boxes like I do :(

This should be in general collecting sub forum not memorabilia
I have my ac items in a large book case and small book case but with acIV will heed to upgrade to a second large book case
And I have my consoles on a single continuos shelf running around the room in a time line of release dates
BTW its hard to collect Assassin's Creed so set yourself a limit and a target for what you want in the collection, Jack is doing well at only having collectors editions and Press kits
Celexter is doing well on the figures and art side
And I'm doing pretty well limiting mine to pre order bonuses and us/UK CE's and art books
Taio has a massive collection of pretty much everything, from apparel, CE's, ART and a lot more

Since you want assassin's creed specifically here's how I displayed my statues with name plates...

The best I've seen has shelves like this.

the squares is about 1 foot by 1 foot and every AC statue has its on square and mini artbook behind the statue, it was ridiculous. I can't remember who's collection was it.

That looks great! Did you do the name plates yourself?
Might have to look into that for my collection!
Like the idea of the artbook behind aswell!

I've just got to look for a few more figures to add to my collection!

I have 2 of the Ikea Detolf for memorabilia
but all of my large box games are in Ikea Billy units: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=billy

there's a lot of versatility, and you can get glass doors for them as well.

I have to get clever with the really big stuff, it seems there are quite a few very large editions that just don't fit well anywhere.

The DETOLF cabinets are really good value for money at 40GBP, I've not seen anything comparable for the price.

They weigh in excess of 40 kilos/90 pounds though so it's a two man job to lift and assemble them...It might not sound that heavy but they are awkward to manage, and being glass you don;t wanna drop 'em :P

I might get some of those Billy cabinets that Twisted mentioned when I redo my house.

I am a new collector, only looking
Update: I'm going to be redecorating my room in the next couple of weeks, just wondered if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to have my AC collection on show in there. Already got a few ideas from those who have posted :)

One great way would be to have a cabinet with one shelf dedicated to each release, the problem with this is some of the shelves will be packed full and some of them will be pretty bare /empty
Another idea is to have things the same size on each shelf
So unboxing the CE's and having all the figures on one shelf
All the art books on another

Or
If space isn't an issue
One shelf per CE with it in an unboxed state the box as the centre piece, the figure in front of it and all the other items for that release/box dotted around it

Or one continuous long shelf along one wall with all the boxes sat on it
But certainly arranging your room so that no direct sunlight hits you CEs is important unless you want to add some IV protective film to your windows. Which will help but best not to rely on it

the cabinets you see for the normal DVD/BluRay cases are from Target (I forget the model, but I don't think they sell them anymore) but everything else is from Ikea.
... the really big shelf I think was called LACK but I don't believe they carry that anymore either.

So I will maybe get about a half of on room in basement but I'm afraid of flood. We are about 70 meters next to the biggest river here. I will take some pics how it looks now and if I will get it and "remake" it I will get pics how it will looks after.
