Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is coming in a Collector's Edition, just as you'd expect from the special edition loving boys at Konami.

The dudes at Joystiq found that GameStop (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=77649) has a listing for the MGS:PW Collector's Edition. It turns out that it will cost $50 and will include an exclusive artbook. They also point out that for ten additional bucks, this had better be a kick-ass artbook. There's no picture or anything, so it could be anything.

I don't know about all of these artbooks. Not to be mean, but the ones that seem to come in these bundles are little more than glorified mini magazines. Art ripped from the manual and the promo stuff is cool to look at in a larger format, but I have a shelf of these "artbooks" that I never look at. The only ones I really enjoy are the hardbound, sold-separately versions that seem to come out of Japan. You should see my Culdcept one!

This seems to be pretty rare, glad I pre-ordered my copy from Ebay USA prior to releases. it was sold out in the first week.

I can't believe I was robbed out of that bandana preorder bonus. :mad: My local Gamestop is just horrible. I shall not do business with them again.

Ouch - they go for $20-30 on ebay just for the Banadana. Should have complained so they would give to a voucher or something.

Well, I preordered from a brick-and-mortar store, in which case the employees would've just feigned ignorance had I complained. Taking it to the corporate level to complain was an option, but I didn't feel like it was worth the trouble.

But the real issue is that, somehow, I was unaware of this bonus at the time I picked up the Peace Walker CE. Gamestop employees are actually notorious for holding on to preorder bonuses for themselves or their buddies, so I'm actually not that surprised. I'm just pissed that I could've ordered this online and received the bandana. Lesson learned.

I feel your pain. I did preorder Street Fighter IV CE and it was suppose to come with Bandana when you preorder. When I picked up the game, Gamestop didn't give me anything.

It really does look like Gamestop have a reputation for this sort of thing, As most of my games are ordered from online stores it just comes with the bonus in the package box. Wonder if it's restricted to local store staff taking them and selling on eBay. It happens often in the UK.

Yep. Some Gamestops do have honest employees, but it just isn't worth the risk anymore, in my opinion.
