you must be the only person who has one of these as the release date isnt untill the 2nd of december on amazon,co.uk
and nobody has left a review yet
but it does look nice
and that it seems is how you have a full colour yet completely blank book
take note world
full colour illustrated blank new/old book
most contradictory description so far

im assuming the blank version is exactly the same, just in harcover format. So i have no need to get another. Id recommend it to a AC fan, its quite small, it fits well with other items and the artwork is amazing, my camera doesn't do it justice. Have you tried ordering one? i got an immediate dispatch notice from mine.

We don't know if the size is the same or different
But one has lines on the pages
The other had no lines

Well they have the same pic at the moment, which could mean anything really... I suspect it is just one has lines, the other doesn't. I may get the other one but i think im fine with just the lined one.

Yes it comes in a thin plastic wrap, mine was wripped open at the bottom so off it went.

Yeah, apparently it's Titan's new shipper for the US. I chose media mail instead of fedex. It came in a bubble envelope and it made me nervous. BUT Titan always ships their LE books inside a special fitted box, so the book was mint when I got it.

I finally decided to order it, despite the huge international shipping costs. :(

Did you get any confirmation email or sth?

I'd did when I placed the order. My contact at Titan emailed gave the tracking info when it shipped, I'm not sure if that new shipper sends tracking emails.

Strange, I don't have any confirmation email, and no money have been taken from my credit card. :scratch::scratch:

They finally got back to me yesterday, confirming my order. Also, they responded to an enquiry I made while I wasn't sure if the order went through.

I have only 1 encyclopedia that's in a plastic bag.

Out of the 4 AC games I've played (AC1, AC2, ACB, AC4), only 1 made me go wow and that's AC4. But then again I've always loved pirate games :D

Shouldn't be. yi had one unsealed from ebay supposedly from animus edition and the got sealed one in a contest and they were the same

And the white one was from ubiworkshop
Books are identical, only the cover is different (white = paperback black =hardback,
Both hard back black versions where the same book

Animus Edition.
You can check it on ebay, and they are normally listed there, and look for a nice deal. I remembered mine, I had no intention of buying it, but I bid on one listed and I won it for only around $15. :bananayes:

I do not dislike the series, i just don't like it as much as other series. ACIII was such a disappointing game IMO. I do however, like books so once I got the 1st white edition I went around getting the others.

I do not like the yearly release either, the 1st white edition was the best with the charges blanches prints. If they did something like that each year it would be alright but just to release a book again and again with just some updated info is typical Ubisoft

The paper feels shitty. From a quick flipthrough it's like a background on pirates and I'm guessing the real life stories of the famous ones in the game like blackbeard etc. Damn the paper feels shitty. :lmao:

I would say that for 112 pages printed on some shit toilet paper, save for the awesome cover it doesn't feel worth the price.

But putting things in perspective, it's like the price of 2 pints of beer here so not that big a deal to get it for some light reading :beer:

Yeah that's inclusive of shipping. Good beer is expensive here. Actually even the beer that tastes like piss is expensive here.

It's a simple choice: Pay a lot for piss, pay even more for good beer or buy the pirates book. I chose the book :D

They (the publisher) pay somebody to read the book, then the audio is sold on a CD or digitally on itunes. So it is somebody reading the assassins creed: revelations by Oliver Bowden novel
You could probably find an audio book of each assassins creed novel if you looked, not limited edition, not individually numbered, but numbered like 1st edition 2nd edition

Retailers do this all the time, they take prices if things up a few weeks before they want to sell them, then they drip the price back to what it was before and say "on sale" "30% off"
And maybe it has (numbered) as now its a second edition run
I think my hawk is not numbered.
Often first editions are not numbered,

They're hardcover comics from Titan. They released the same day as AC3 last year. This year Titan published the Isis trilogy, which is the first three in one hardcover comic. The new one is titled Hawk and starts a new Assassin.

This company is a scam. They create 'limited editions' that aren't, they advertise included bonuses yet they never go into production.

Stay away.

Yes it is a fantastic book with incredible detail.

I have the ACIII LE artbook as well. I have many AC related books, all the CE guides etc., but I'm missing the E3 Encyclopedia (not that I have searched for it much).

I was going to stop at a Barnes & Noble today to check it out. It seems small at under 200 pages. And the fools at B&N still don't price match anyone, including their own damn website. So I never buy anything at their stores, it's just a showroom for me.

I've got the poster book. Got it a while ago when amazon had it for about ?13 and it's well worth that. Not sure what their price is now. It covers all the games and not just Black Flag

As someone who collects art I have no real interest in the AC poster book. I own several of the official AC3 paintings from the Rock the Vote auctions, and all of the high end statues, including the Italian Attakus. As such, dinky 12x18 posters just don't appeal to me.

The event was official by ubisoft. They had 17 artists create unique pieces and auction them off for charity through a special eBay page. I won two of them and backed out on a third when I realized I was going to be over $1,000 if I kept increasing my bids.

I mean, just curious if he is out of the picture for AC.
is there no plan for him in the future? just curious why they are not making any memorabilia for him, even 1 statue (they releases another ALtair statue, but not a single desmond) now this posters, no Desmond again. I feel sad for him though :(

Wow, I'm so far out of the loop I didn't even know there WAS a code... :(

I pre-ordered one since it's Amazon and I don't have to pay anything for a few months. If I don't have the money and its not sold out when it's released I'll cancel the order. No harm no foul.

But I agree with Coma too... its cool that it's a nice CE guide (potentially) but not sure how I feel about them adding even more trinkets to these things to make them even more expensive... I mean, if the MSRP is another $120 (ontop of the game) they're really trying to milk it out of the AC collector's aren't they?

Pretty neat edition. I just wonder if the internals will be decently made or not would be my concern.

But coma is right as far as some of the stuff they come up with... I mean that is just a game guide trimmed in jewels essentially. It is like putting Aston Martin rims on a Ford.

they do need ubis express consent and agreement and ubi do profit from it

but that said there are very few companies who are not about making money

And most non official yet still licenses products are usually rare
This is because they don't make the 100,000 that the studio makes and usually just enough to cover orders plus 5-10%

Not sure on the metal or metal looking

Yea the pocket watch was only open to people who had mailing addresses in France and that was a limited run pre order bonus

This pocket watch AC unity is not a pre order bonus but a whole editon and it's being sold by 3 Amazon countries and ships world wide so will be far less rare

Sounds like it may be (from Lily). That box seems really small though to hold a LE guide book doesn't it? I mean, it's clearly not the same size as all the other CE/LE guides I've got - it looks like it'd be a handbook size or something to fit in that box??

So I must admit (again) that I'm a little annoyed that Ubisoft is releasing this "CE CE" Guide Book -- the box is so odd shaped that its not going to fit alongside my other CE Guides for the AC series in the bookshelf, or at the very least take up a lot of space. Also, if I DID take the guide out of the box, its going to be different from the "CE Guide" for this right? So do I now have to buy ANOTHER CE guide to put in the stack of books or is this guide the same as that one (just without the bonuses)?

OH yeah... and are they going to be offering some lithos or something in the regular CE guide that's not offered in this one? Pssh... just annoys me. If so, I'll get the CE guide too, but probably wait til its pennied out at a GS or something.

So I know the "New Employee Handbook" has been talked about a bit but I'm a little confused and was wondering if anybody else was too, it's just that on Amazon.co.uk I've found two listings of it but I have no idea what the difference is, if there even is a difference (besides price).

They are listed as different publishers and the second is listed as apparently being .6cm thicker than the first, also the pictures used to illustrate them are different.

Amazon. I got that and the Dragon Age guides today. Like them both, but I had low expectations for the AC guide since so little had been shared about it. There is a form inside each: AC limited to 2500 and DA limited to 3000 -- didn't really believe they would be limited like that either so that was a surprise to see.

Bigger than I thought it would be too. It is probably 15 cm / 6 inches deep.

The chalice is obviously the main attraction. Quality is very good, has a nice heft (probably about 0.5 kg / 1 lb or slightly less). Nice paint job, and the tassel is a nice touch.

Lastly the guide. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it is different from the regular LE guide. I don't have one to compare, but it looks the same to me.

I know it's crazy. USPS delivers packages on Sunday in our area. Don't know how or why we got that service, but I love it!

Woah! Jealous! That's pretty awesome. I just found the option the other day on Amazon that you have to select to allow "Saturday" shipping (as mine didn't even deliver on Saturday for some reason) but there definitely wasn't a "Sunday" option haha.

Thanks for the pics/review too - mine is supposed to arrive today, so hopefully it'll all be intact when I get home! :beg:

Edit: Also, is your chalice chipped/damaged? The 5th picture down from the top looks like the triangle in the center of the pillar is damaged? Or is that just lighting?

Honestly - forgot I even got it til I saw your post on here, been so darn busy tonight. I'll try and sneak away in a bit and finish opening it though! I got as far as opening the box and taking that picture haha :nosleep:

Hmm.... good question. I think its actually a G2, not a G1. At least I hope that's the case since its for my Xbox1 and I refuse to mix G1s & 2s for anything other than Nintendo (since they're all over the place anyway).

It stinks, like how the walls smell in an old pub or the home of a smoking couple, its not the smell of smoke, smoke Snell's different to this, it smells just like a room that somebody smokes in where the smoke has penetrated the walls and there is no actual smoke

And then I realise that although I have this huge vast collection, all of it is worthless because it probably all smells like this because of my :censored: :censored: inconsiderate neighbours below me that smoke and the smoke penetrates through the carpets and into my entire apartment, and yet the only option available to me is to move out of this place

I completely understand but the company I rent off does not see this is a problem
That is who my issue is with, they can do what they like in there place as long as it doesn't effect me, but the hurling abuse at each other all hours and smokibgg cannabis and tobacco so much that it stinks out my apartment so much that I must open all the windows and sit in/5°c for some non tainted air, that is an issue that proves that my apartment and there apartment are not sealed separately and I wish there was some way I could for the building manageme company to seal the floors but alas I cannot,
So as a result, my kitchen stinks as bad as an ash tray/bucket in a smoking shed, and all my clothes smell fresh for like 2 hours after washing them. But this is the only time I will public ally complain about it, and only because my brand new still sealed item has turned up in "new:brand new" condition yet smoke damaged before I even take of the cellophane wrapper, if it is an unacceptable business practice for DHL UPS Royal Mail Parcel force USPS CPS then why can Hermes get away with it?
The UK show watchdogs done a segment on Hermes recently and came to the conclusion that they where the worst postal company in britain and I must agree, I have lost 2 parcels due to them putting them in my 'safe place' that they designate all by them selves without checking with me and decode that my wheelie bin/trash bin on the collection day is the safest place for my delivery and then continue to not leave a card or any notice that they have done that

Perhaps in the UK it is different though unfortunately with your reply, I highly doubt you would see an opposing viewpoint.

When living in an apartment, they CANNOT do as they please. Their rights stop when it inconveniences someone else. In the US landlords can now make their dwellings smoke free.

It's mentioned as a "Uncorrected proof version". Not entirely sure what that means but I'm guessing it's a copy of the book before the final edit and sent for printing?

Ok so i now this is a very late reply :bunny: but this is my line of work :D

An uncorrected proof version is the version that has already been formatted (writers dont use always use paragraphs, etc) but the text itself has not yet been proof read.

Thus copies are normally sent out to the Publisher marketing and sales teams for them to see with what they are dealing with and prepare accordingly while the text is being proof read (it takes a long time and is boring as hell) and printed.
