Lowly, just for confirmation, the E3 journal is the EXACT same that will be sold soon at UWS? If so, there sure are some fools out there.

I've been writing ebay sellers and reporting them for lying about the e3 AC IV t-shirt since it's sold at UWS and was not exclusive to e3.

Shipping must decrease with lots of items then for that price and I think almost everyone here has got a copy on order now by the sounds of it. How many journals do you think ubi have, i heard that there were a lot left over from E3?

If you order just journals then the price goes very high
1 journal 12usd
10journals 40usd
But 8 journals added to a big box of light things for some reason made the shipping rate stay the same

They calculate cost in weightso I'm not sure how it works

I've already answered how many I think they had left over in this very thread
And its a very lot, like over 300 eaaily

I think they where always intended to be sold
And later it was decided to give them away at e3 as a promo item

Yep I have just missed out on a tee shirt because when the added the journal they removed a tee shirt I had in my basket

Theres also another shirt floating around,blue in color & says "clean shaven pirates get more booty". I think it has something to do with licensing and permission issues

I have just checked and titan books are making the standard edition
And the pages are identical in both version
Its only the cover and slip cover and any additional items that are included in the limited version that are different

So yes Titan books / Titan Exclusives will be stocking the limited version

I don't know where its available I'll have a look
Maybe they have stopped pre orders but will release it for general sale soon after launch, I'd expect to see it in forbidden planet stores and game and the usual places
Also available on Amazon.de
And also Walmart
I have sent an enquiry into the book depository to see if they can explain why they are no longer taking pre orders

Not surprised. I know a someone who runs the Titan US division. The LE series of game books is not selling well at all. He never said it, but I firmly believe that's why we haven't seen any new game book LEs in a year now. I somehow doubt there will be one for AC:BF.

I agree, that's what I've read too.

I'm not aware of any Titan LE game books coming out in the future. As I stated, the current ones (two Halo's, Dead Space, AC3) did not sell well at all.

Just updating that I spoke to my contact for Titan US, I'm told that YES there will be an LE version and that preorders start soon. I asked for clarification on specifics such as limited to 500 slipcase, etc.

Edit: I can confirm I'm told that the book WILL have a limited edition like last year's, slipcase and signed art.

I'd say it would be more of an indicator that they don't care for limited edition art books, not art books in general

That being said I always found the titan art books to be poorly advertised

What rubbish is that about
There are enough supplier that will ship to the UK from other countries and the book depository: a website that a lot of NON UK people use, is part of the UK so it is not smart to say limited to 130 in the UK as most of those will be headed to other countries,
And seeing as they won't be numbered; its just a marketing persons idea of trying to make them sell faster, the same way all marketing people lie to make you buy thelat product then and there; and that is the sole reason I prefer to shop online, as there is no person selling me a pack of lies with a "limited" time offer

Yeah, it's cheaper. The shipping on titan costed me 6 Pounds when I bought the AC III Limited Edition Artbook last week. So, I hope it will be the same when it comes up at Titan :-)

One things for sure. You obviously can't do the Amazon (add 500 and the basket comes back with only 347 available) trick of adding X amount to the basket at Forbidden Planet. Infact put more than 100 in of anything and it always comes out at 99. Yet it still shows a total cost for the amount you put in. So I put 500 in and it wants to charge me 20,000.00. So goodness knows what's available.

Though I might have shot my self in the foot with the 99 I still stand by the 130/500 of before which seems to be the general consensus regarding The Art Of Assassin's Creed IV:Black Flag Limited Edition.

One thing seems to be sure at the moment it's not available on the Titan site Exclusives or otherwise. Nor is it available on Forbidden Planet international or anywhere else apart from the Forbidden Planet UK site.Even then it seems people can order it overseas if they're willing to pay 50.00GBP shipping.

I know the US is getting it but can't find anything as to where. It wasn't on Ubiworkshop last time I looked. Perhaps it might be on Titan publishings Amazon US store.

The speculation is beyond rife.

To be fair these are massive weighty books. I helped someone last year with an AC3 one to the Philippines and the only 'reasonable' post was surface and that was about 6 weeks delivery and still cost around 25gbp if I remember rightly... :suicide:

The LE Art of AC IV book is the same as the standard Art of AC IV book right? As in the book contents are the same but comes with a slipcase, lithos and it's signed.

A the moment no uk sites... Been surprised by this after the AC3 one.... There were 140 in the uk and 500 worldwide so at the moment the only way to get one is from other countries that have released for sale...

I have reserved copies for Ingmar and Lex but seriously didn't think this would show as sold out so soon!!!

Titanbooks.com (standard site) has the book listed but if you press buy it now, it redirects you to the forbidden planet.com web page which is the official webpage for the chain store forbidden planet, and that is the only place I have found in the UK that Have this item as listed
This deserves a stern word being sent to titan publishing

That was the lovely ubi themselves.... They advertised the limited edition of the artbook on the ubi shop at the price of the standard but with all the details of the limited...

People checked and double checked with them, they confirmed it was the limited then promptly sent out all standard ones and were a nightmare to deal with after that..

Forbidden Planet and Titan and The Book Depository I have never had issue with products packaging or service :)

I have heard stories from forbidden planet of pre orders tbeing cancelled months after being made, or when it comes close to release date they cancel the pre orders, so I try to avoid there web services, and I prefer to ask the store.to order in for m

Most uk stores never got them, and amazon uk/ book depos cancelled. Buying from amazon.com is easy, and the shipping is cheap so it works out at about 22 GBP including shipping to the uk :)

Titan books OWNS forbidden planet
And the stick only appears on the titan exclusives website if they do not sell out on forbidden planet,
As a result, anyone within the UK that wants a copy of this book must purchase it from another country and pay heavily for it, I have let titan books know of my displeasure that they did not make clear that forbidden planet was the only retailer with stock in the UK and well they said they will attempt to make this clearer in the future

If a US member has preordered we can see how much shipping they were charged and work it out, i would say at most 25 dollars to ship from them to the uk, as i think it may be a little heavier.

Would have been a best seller if it didn't have an assassin or the assassins creed logo on the front cover
It would have appealed to a wiser non assassins but pro pirates fan base, and there could have been one in every school and every library in the country, but poor UBisoft have threw that chance away by putting an assassin on the cover

I was thinking, maybe you chose the word silver to describe the colour of the hardback cover of the book and not; as I first thought, a silver shiny metallic mirror finish slip cover.
No seeing as I have no way of viewing imgur images (this is a problem that effects a lot of people world wide and there is no known fix, well there is a fix which is something to do with using Google as a DNS but it did not work for me)

I can see the image and yeah it's just the colour of the hardback on the book, I personally think it's more of a Bluish-Grey colour.

I was stating that spemthing has happened to my internet connection somewhere and I can no longer view imgur or imgur pics
And it is a pretty well documented occurance that effects a lot of people with no known cause, but it is random and as there is no known cause it is not like a servers going down or an image being removed, it is in a sense like being deaf or blind, in that deafness and blindness is individual and when I become deaf you can still hear

You misunderstood me, I know that's what you meant, as I read it in your previous post.

I was stating that I could see the image so I was telling you what was meant by the silver colour, as you couldn't see it.

Yeah, apparently it's Titan's new shipper for the US. I chose media mail instead of fedex. It came in a bubble envelope and it made me nervous. BUT Titan always ships their LE books inside a special fitted box, so the book was mint when I got it.
