Do you use your CE DLC?

Just a question - I open and play my Collector's Editions. I waslucky enough to grab the GTA V CE, and I want to use the DLC.

Yes, I open all of my CEs to use the games, DLC and the contents :) (still have a few sealed but that's because I haven't gotten around to playing them yet, and they didn't come with anything super exciting that I wanted to tear into right away :P).

Don't see the point in buying CEs just to have them kept sealed on a shelf :shrug: I know I'm probably in the minority for that though xx

I always use the DLC on CE's I open, which is pretty much all of them.

The only time where I'll forgo using the DLC is when they're sealed inside a steelbook case. I'd rather keep the case sealed than use the DLC.

Yes, I alway open my CEs and use all my DLC sheets etc.

I open most of my CEs, but I tend to never use the DLC codes only because I usually get the codes before I get the CE.

Pretty pointless in the end since pretty much all DLC codes eventually expire.

No, I agree with this. All the CEs I buy I intend to play, and if you're getting DLC then you might as well use it!

Saying that, I never really find most of the pre-order DLC bonuses you get are that great, but they're worth it just so you get a little bit extra.

I always use the dlc once I open the CE. Unless it's for like multiplayer skins etc cos those are useless :protest:

Yeah, almost always use them, but like others, still have a few that are still sealed up just cuz I haven't gotten around to opening/playing them yet.

Depends what it is tbh, I like to use the extra SP stuff but the MP hardly ever interests me so I'll flog 'em or give 'em away.

I do not use them very often. I keep most of them sealed and just buy the regular edition to play for the most part.

I'm aware most of it expires as well

I don't know most CE DLC usually doesn't interest me as it doesn't add to the game really

i was totally p1ssed off when my DLC expired, and it was a really rare one too. they never made it available on psn.
so yea, i try to use them before they expire now.

Generally if I open the game and I play it then I'll use the DLC... obviously I don't use it on games that I keep sealed.

This has happened to me more than once. If I didn't have time to play a game, what I started doing was opening each and every one I owned and redeeming the DLC, evening downloading it to my PS3 but not installing it so I can keep track of what was unplayed. Even went as far as making a spreadsheet as well.

After a good amount of time with V and GTA Online I'd say use it. The DLC weapons transfers to the online and having the CE exclusive Desert Eagle from the start pretty much makes you a god.

I NEVER use any DLC if the code is hidden behind a leaflet or behind a grey "bar". I keep them mint. And I collect rare unused DLC cards (such as Lost Odyssey, Too Human, The Last Remnant...)


I ALWAYS use them if the code is already visible on the card (what would be the point of not using these ones?!).

I purchase games to and collectors editions to enjoy the game and contents included in the package. Which means displaying contents outside of the box and using DLC if it benefits me. For example, Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chest had special costumes which I wanted to use contrary to that Dark Souls had a digital guide, but I had the physical guide so that one is unused because I had absolutely no use for it.
