In the article where this comparison came from, it's stated that textures are better on the PS3, while 360 has better framerate. It seems 360 also suffers from heavy image tearing. So the preference is whether one would prefer graphical fidelity over better framerates.

im playing the ps3 version, theres still some framerate issues with the game. However, it is not nearly as bad as dark souls 1. I'm playing on version 1.00 of the game so they might have patched a few things.
However, in my opinion, demons souls looked and felt a lot better than both.

The one that comes in the CE won't support the weight of the "mini" armours set....be sure of that...

I never saw a gamepad flying so well when I was playing it, and damn it flew often.

Actually I agree... Ninja gaiden games are way harder than any of the souls games. Those games always had that history of difficulty since the NES era. No patience and careful planning can save you from death on those games lol

Ninja Gaiden (original) was pretty hard when I first played it on the Xbox, but I persevered & got through it and so proud of myself. Finished off #2 as well. #3 well, we all know what that's like... :-/

As for marriage, I've been married for nearly 7 years and my wife sometimes cracks about 'all the shit' I have simply because of the space everything takes up. As for cost, she says as long as the bills are paid and the kids are fed, I'm allowed to spend money on games. :D

I've spoken to a few women in the past who have told me that they plan on making their boyfriend stop playing games. I told them that's something they shouldn't do and let them play if they enjoy it. You should've seen the dirty looks I got. <_<

I'll have to grab a UK Black Armor Edition since they're different. I really like all the pop out textures on ours, but the UK one does have a cleaner look, and I prefer the plastic slipcase.

Just got call from my friend - he got Looking Glass Knight statue!!!!

Here's an unboxing for the Dark Souls 2 CE and initial impressions on the game. I've also got the guide on its way, and I'll be getting the UK Black Armor for the different metalpak/slipcase.

I'm loving the game so far because it's more Dark Souls--my favorite IP from last gen! The objective, critical part of me, however, has a metric fuck ton of complaints. The game is just worse than Dark Souls 1 in nearly every single way. I'm going to wait to do a video discussing everything until I have the platinum, and I'm fully done with it. But I can't imagine that my opinion is going to change--my evidence will merely be bolstered.

Got my CE's from Amazon today, bit scabby the box isn't shrinkwrapped. The plastic covering tends to offer some protection and with Amazon's packing, they got a little scuffed up which is annoying. Seems to be more and more common these days with CE's. :(

At least I'm thankfully there's no huge dents in the corners. :thumb:

It is the game, but it has a slipcover over the normal case. And yes, it was a HMV exclusive. For like 3 days I think amazon listed the collectors edition of dark souls 2 for only ?63, I think a few members of this site posted it here. Amazon do that some time, I got the risen 2 CE for only ?31. Cheaper than the regular version of the game. And finally thanks for checking out my collection :D

ps3 as the 360 version comes with two different sized cases an xbox one for the game and a ps3/bluray case for the sound track it looks ugly imo

the weapons are extremely cool, but yes the main reason why i purchased it was when i saw there was a full size artbook. my only concern would be that if it's exactly the same as the us one just in a full scale artbook instead of the little one.

The amazon preorder is cool, there are four different dessigns, each one limited to 2500...

What sucks is is that they send them randomly, If don't, I would have ordered four Armour Editions to get the four of them...

So 10,000 of them splitted in four different desings...

Okay, I'm a bit confused. I understand that this edition is limited to 2500 worldwide (presumably for each platform). Is that correct? If so, how come two of my local indy store had a copy for each machine last Friday ?? Surely this should have sold out ages ago.

Also, I got mine from Amazon UK and received a metal plaque showing it was 1825 of 2500, yet in all the unboxings I've seen none of them showed this.

Okay, I'm a bit confused. I understand that this edition is limited to 2500 worldwide (presumably for each platform). Is that correct? If so, how come two of my local indy store had a copy for each machine last Friday ?? Surely this should have sold out ages ago.

Also, I got mine from Amazon UK and received a metal plaque showing it was 1825 of 2500, yet in all the unboxings I've seen none of them showed this.

What you are talking about is the metal art cards amazon.uk was giving out as a preorder bonus. Those cards are a bit rare as only 2500 were made some of them are going for 60-90 euros on ebay.uk :/

Don't think the CE is any different, but that metal card is fairly rare and if you sell it on ebay you might make the money you spent on the CE back. :beach:

I got mine from Nippon-Yasan as well and I have to say it's perfect!

They packed it extremely well too (like yours) so I doubt the damage to yours happened during transit, most likely the douch that packed it dropped it first. :think:

I'm in the same boat here. The corner was minor damage, but all goods inside were in tact. Also for those still waiting that is crazy. Mine actually came a day early. Said Tuesday, however got it on Monday!!!!! Dark Souls Collection has grown to be outstanding. I have a couple more items that will be coming yet... can't believe I got my hands on almost everything I was attempting. Just missing the life size statue. So if anyone has any leads in America that would be great.

The US and UK metalpaks are different, but that's all there is for this game. There is no steelbook.

yeah.. I got the 360 one... I take it they just bought a bunch from amazon and never bothered to open it up and check 'cause I received the exact box amazon would ship their stuff. I didn't take out the game or anything (sorry I can confirm if there's eng subtitles or not), as I'm waiting for their reply. LOL, Indeed:) Just noticed it and also if you take a closer look on the artwork of both in the Region 2 version the whole image is like zoomed compared to the Region 1 where the knight is a bit more far and has more of the body part visible as well as the mountain on the background.

It seems that the prices are staying stable at high prices even for individuals. :( It is frustrating that these are so hard to come by.

I figure I'm going to keep the one in better condition for now--that way I know that the metalpak is mint at least, and I just need a good slipcase lol. On the plus side, amazon refunded me for the second one without me having to return it, so that's quite handy lol.
