Due out on their games' respective release dates, these two handhelds are absolutely beautiful (more so the Zelda one)

And it sucks that I'm poor, as we'd have totally bought that Zelda one :( xx

Solution would be to cancel XB1 order. It's not going anywhere so you can get one later on. :D My GF will be getting mine for me for Christmas so thankfully no worries! ^^ it does suck that it falls on the same day as XB1 launch! >.< Was hoping they wouldn't release a Zelda console for this game, especially since I already bought an Unbudgeted Wii U. >.<

are you sure Iwatasan the last Zelda le sold out in the US in six days?..are you referring to the standard 3ds version that was black with the gold designs?..in my area, it was languishing on shelves...in fact my local gamestop..I think gamestop in general knocked $20 off the price (in store)..that was NOT valid on the standard colors...unless you are referring to a different Zelda console like the DS version.

Oh, actually I was referring to The Wind Waker HD LE. But if memory serves the black Zelda 3DS bundle was a Black Friday surprise, no preorders offered in the US at least. I got mine at my local Best Buy and they were totally sold out by 10:00 in the morning I think.

3DS XL consoles don't include chargers. ;)

It's pretty shit if you ask me. Nintendo were trying to save money by not making chargers to go with every console as people were having loads of console chargers about which were all the same, so were giving customers the option... apparently. Sounds like an excuse to rip us off. :nea:

oh lol, didnt know all of them are called LL, i thought this would be something special for the Luigi Edition :D

i really like the design from the Zelda DS XL, i love that one side is golden with the triforce and the other black with the triforce, best 3ds xl design right now! :clap:
but again it is a shame that the game which is incl. in the zelda edition is only a download code like in that Wii U Wind Waker Edition :rant:

Me too, do you think they will release something like it here? Seems like maybe GAME might have been the ones who put a lot of the effort into that product, but maybe Nintendo would pursue a similar concept for a North American release if there was a retailer over here that was interested in selling something similar? Or at least something like a CE that comes with the game and the treasure box, since Nintendo is already producing a certain number of treasure boxes for Europe and Australia?

I think it's too late for that to happen for the US...I think all we will get is that Zelda 3ds that gamestop has for black Friday...Nintendo doesn't really care for special editions for the US market..and GAME is aggressive in pre orders and collectors edition to get foot traffic back at their stores and more sales..because of the bankruptcy issues last year or the year before..GAMESTOP..is doing relatively well..making money..so they have no reason to put in extra effort..during the holiday season..especially with next gen here and they will get a lot of people in the stores..

Also, aren't these systems region-locked, so you'd have to play only PAL games on your system (assuming it was for playing purposes and not shelf-space).

Yep, 3DS is region locked. If you want to play NTSC region games you gotta get an NTSC region 3DS. I'll be out on Black Friday getting one of these myself, so if you want, chiakri, I could certainly grab one for you too. But I highly doubt it will sell out at every store in your area before you have a chance, maybe the following Saturday or Sunday, to go out and pick one up before they sell out. As Twisted pointed out earlier, the last time there was a Black Friday Zelda edition handheld release, there were stores in his area that had it in stock for over a month. Then again, preorders for this one sold out in Japan in 5 minutes, lol.

I have two Pikachu 3DS XLs (one sealed, one belongs to my girlfriend now), two zelda 3DS XLs (one sealed, one I'm currently playing), one animal crossing XL (sealed), and a Zelda 3DS. Sold some Japanese exclusives (MH 4 for example) as I needed the money.

I'm not aware of that. But as a sealed collector, I don't think you should worry about that, because you'll never open the original packaging :-)

Unless of course the leaked battery acid opens the packaging for you.

I don't collect sealed systems, just sealed games. I have a couple handhelds in my collection I don't intend to actually play with anymore, and I removed the batteries from them. I just keep the batteries separate, so I do still have them, the package is still "complete," but when the batteries inevitably start to leak they won't ruin the hardware or anything else.
