has anyone heard of any destiny collectors editions? anywhere in the world. i just saw that titanfall released a collectors edition for pre order and that seems to be a title closer to the release of destiny (that is if it does not get pushed back again). they keep release promo stuff which i, in turn keep picking up. i want that damn statue they unveiled.

Yeah - I'm wondering if Bungie will do the thing they've done in the past with a regular edition, a "Limited Edition", and then a "Legendary Edition". I've always liked that model as long as the Legendary version is not too exorbitantly priced.

its bungie. i will put my trust in them as far as designing a badass collectors edition. im hoping its not like the titanfall on or next spring/summer with be harmful to me with titanfall (2 versions pre ordered), destiny (none pre ordered.....yet), and watch dogs (4 versions preordered).

No to the data carrying over as well. This is because the ALPHA and BETA do not start you from the beginning of the game. Not sure I have ever seen an ALPHA/BETA that your stats/items carried over in.

Actually there are. Final Fantasy 14 did that with their last weekend beta which was one week from launch and they also make an announcement that progress will be kept unless they found a game breaking bug.

I like it but I HATE that they did not do a smaller version of the Fallen Statue for the CE. What a let down. I would have picked a Warlock statue or even a replica of the Sparrow over the Ghost paperweight.

I honestly wonder sometimes what the people who think these things up are thinking. They are obviously not collectors IMO. "People when crazy over that Fallen statue, maybe we should make that."... "Na... you know what we should do is drive the point home that the Ghost is the main connection to the game by making that the figure for the CE. Then we sell the Fallen statue we can make is big and expensive and out of reach for most of our fan base.".

I know, I know... I am being cynical. I am just h hugely disappointed.

Yeah it is a $50 paper weight the talks and is not all that good looking.

It would be like if Killzone Shadow Fall made a CE with a Drone replica.... and that was actually a cooler design as far as a figure would be concerned. Although the Ghost is your connection to the Traveler but the Traveler thing would have been a better idea as an iconic figure. Seeing how it is on every poster out there for Destiny. The Ghost shows up in cutsceney areas (technically he is always there with you) and also when you hit start to open you hud. It is just very low on the list of things that would have been neat for a figure.

Oh well... too late now. I just wish these marketing companies actually had real collectors making the decisions. Or at the very least do polls on what you want like Saints Row did.

$100 for everything but the Ghost and then another $50 for the floating triangle.

As I keep spewing... a small version of the Fallen Captain Statue would have been the best thing they could have done. That enemy is very iconic of Destiny already and that statue they had made was amazing (I would have been happy even if they shrunk it way down and made it of plastic... that's better then a plastic Ghost). Or one of the guardian classes would have been the next choice... and if only one Warlock is by far the coolest and most popular.

i actually was able to reserve my xbox one version today at an actual gamestop store lol :) so stoked but i have to agree the edition was a bit disappointing but hopefully they put a lot of workmanship in it and it will be quality :)

UK have it rougher with the logic of $1 = 1GBP. Paying almost $250.

you know which one sucked?! the damn titanfall collectors edition! 250usd for the piece of shit. Not to mention the size! I got them and once I saw the size of the box I immediately wished I had not bought them :( needless to say they were outrageous wastes of money.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. I honestly do not see the $250 value of the Titanfall CE! I've never played the game, so I can't speak on game playability, but overall CE value wasn't worth it (IMO)...

i honestly wouldnt pay 100 for it. although i was stupid enough to get them and they were the BIGGEST waste of money ever and i never should have got them. i was just lucky i sold them and got them shipped the hell out of my house.

the only stuff that i have that was larger than the titanfall collectors editions are the triforce batarang (largest and heaviest box i ever received [65 pounds]), the triforce hammer burst gold edition and the triforce marcus with gold lancer lol. that stuff is HUGE but totally worth it and MUCH better quality :)
