Hello guys
Im getting some Big Box games here soon, and thinking I want to protect them good.. But I just can't find any kind of plastic protector for Big Box PC games.. Can only find for SNES, N64 games and so on..
It is the old style for PC games, because they went over to use Dvd Cases.. It don't have to be something that seal them and cant be open as I still want to able to do that.. :p
I already got 1 Big box game and can see the size of that is
4.5 cm x 19 cm x 24 cm

I think part of the problem with the old big box PC stuff is that they're not really a standard size...
if you find a solution I'd be interested in hearing it

I opened a similar thread on this HERE (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15559) a ways back.
Unfortunately it seems like there weren't any readily available options. Not sure if I posted on there or not, but I did hear back from a few of the companies who made some in the past and both said they had no intention of running them or doing custom work as the minimum run size was HUUUUUUGE.

I don't have so many of these, so did not know different size..
I only got 1 that I have since the game came out.. But Im getting 4 with the mail in next day or so.. And as they are a bit speciel and rare I really want to protect them good(Diablo, Diablo Hellfire, Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lod :D )..
And to get them VGA or what is called would be nice.. But as I don't live in USA it would just cost so much in shipping over to them and then back to me.. So would cost so much..
if you can't find any polybags there's always the option to put your precious in acrylic display cases.

They also ship outside the US. Most of my polybags are from there.

Just tried it.. Cost 33.21 dollars just for 1.. And think that is without shipping..
That price I think I would be able to make some myself much cheaper.. :p

Maybe you can find a local shop? I know one here in Germany and I just checked their prices...A box for the size you mentioned above costs around 35 euro. But shipping is of course way cheaper.

Else I can just get my father-in-law to help make it :p

In Chris's thread on the subject I suggested polybags if you're okay with the presentation not being absolutely perfect
I ran into a similar problem with some PC big boxes and press kits
I've found something like these might work

It's a little hard to figure out what will box shaped items will actually fit into what size so it usually does well to get multiple different sizes
I would actually recommend getting ones larger than 10" by 13" or at least wider than 10"
In essence you're basically putting a box into something a box isn't supposed to go into but it works well enough. Just have to fold over excess plastic and tape it. I use invisible gift wrapping tape to do so
