Well I personally liked the Halo Reach CE a lot, but you could end up picking that up at retailers months after release for around $30 or something, so maybe there's the same hope here with all the retailers carrying it?

I got to pre-order the Ghost Edition in Amazon for PS4. For those worried about it being sold out, there may have some more later. You can sign up for email alert when they become available again. I'm sure Bungie and Amazon want to cash in on that. Same thing happened with PS4 Watch Dogs CE. It sold out quick but then re-stocked right before release.

I think Gamestop doesn't ship internationally and Game doesn't have it for the PS3 I believe. It's weird that none of the UK sites have a pre-order for the limited edition for last gen.

I think the hype is more for Bungie and not necessarily the game (at least that's where I was hyped about). Could be totally wrong here, but I personally just like how much attention to detail Bungie would put in their (Halo)games. From achievement names, to hidden easter eggs, to bonuses, they just made it fun to be a completionist (vs. "collect 100 stupid flags").

Not sure where you looking for it but you can still get the LE on EB games AUS. Retailers must be loosing it over the Ghost version from what we know it's very limited and many people want the next-gen version. Looking at it from Bungie's point we can only do so many copies as we have other versions to sell. Still think they will do another run with Amazon not as much as the first but that will be it. They ate going to make a lot of coin out of people but only in they keep the expansion (1/2, how many more in the wings? 100+ me thinks) thing under control as they did say the want people to be playing this for years (5-10)

Indeed they are Amazon had a second run this morning AUS time 3.30 am and sold all Ghost editions in an hour. I don't think there will be another run (slim) but they want other units sold and so do retailers the bay my be the next step. This is about marketing a game and now the Limited Edition is still avalable if that sells well they may bring ghost back but for now it's up to the consumer, funny things happen when you are left with not much choice.

Yeah they did a really really good job in limiting the Ghost Edition numbers. That way they managed to sell a lot more Limited Edition as well. I won't be surprised if the Limited Edition get sell out as well towards launch date. Probably won't have many copies left in Australia since EB doesn't stock much at all :(

Indeed you is right on the beta thing also with Amazon USA and GS a lot of people just pre ordered every version just because they could. I think there is going to be a few turning up after release date but you will have to on your game to pick one up.

This portuguese store has it, but my first order was cancelled a couple of minutes later. The site was all bugged. I made another order and it went fine. It still allows more orders

The problem is... that store is a little like a benign cancer. You don't know what you'll get and if the package gets damaged during postage they refuse the trade. On top of that, their packages are crap. I've had that happen to me once and never ordered from them in a very long time. I filled a claim next to the authorities and they've changed their policies the following month, but they still refuse to accept returns if a package gets damaged, which is horrible. GS Ireland from what you say got people to pre order but now have no copies at all so if you did put one in you are no longer going to get it? I think It's zone 2 on the disc so I should be fine. What part of Australia you live in.

Well, the disc would be fine, because I'm pretty sure the reason you have three different rating labels on your PAL discs is that they use the same disc in all PAL regions. I just didn't want the Ghost Edition packaging or the content inside to be in another language.

Bungie know what they are doing with this game and it has just raised the bar on gaming with others + all the other things that go with it. the hard core shooters (COD) will be the ones who will have a hard time with this game for what ever reasons.
People who have not got down with the COD thing are all over this game, it's new, fun, and in space. This game reminds me so much of Marathon the game they made on the Mac many years ago still got my copy.

As I have said before a lot of people ordered more than one copy, some will kill their orders and some will not, that means there will be a lot from the USA as they are so limited it has become how deep is your wallet. For someone to help you out with a Ghost edition at a fare price in nothing short of a miracle at this moment in time but anything is possible.

Like you there are many with the same problem (chasing a Ghost) only a lot of coin will fix for now... If I had your issue I would just get the LE play the game and move on but like most we love chasing things that are hard to come by.

After how good the the beta was I think hype has reached epic proportions. On ebay those grimoire cards are now selling for $100 +. You could get better ones back before the beta for under 5 euros.

It's likely that there will be a few extras, but almost no chance I'd image for stores like Walmart or Target who never were allocated one to begin with. Your best best is possibly Amazon as I'm sure GameStop/Best Buy employees will likely snag it themselves in my experience ;)

It will be very unlikely that any retailer will have spare ones available on launch day. Most retailers have huge wait lists in the attempt to get any spare ones if they do exist. In fact there are still some retailers like ToysRUS, Target, Amazon, and even Best Buy who are still canceling preorders due to not being able to fulfill their preorders. The Ghost Edition will be the biggest pain in the butt to get if you do not have it already preordered or have a major connection to someone.

Yeah, Bungie has never really released a "rare" CE to my knowledge - they're always overstocked. I'm thinking its mostly the hype and the fact that others, recognizing the hype, pre-ordered them to make a few $$'s on eBay and such. There are thousands upon thousands of people eager to play this game though, moreso than nearly any game I've seen in recent times, so as long as it lives up to the hype, these editions (even if abundant in #) may still be hard to find down the road until a few months have passed and the secondary market floods.

You have to remember that previous Bungie CE's were all under the management of Microsoft and they very rarely every have truly limited video game CE's. From everything I have seen from GameStop, Activision has been starting to lean to more limited CE's as we have started to see some of the Advanced Warfare CE's being discontinued already. Which they never cut anything off this early.

I think its a mix of being somewhat limited, extreme hype and wide availability. # doesn't really matter though, it's all about demand. The next-gen versions sold out instantly almost everywhere so you can expect that they will at least hold their value.

Apparently it's a massive bug in their warehouse. Those email cancellation are kinda automatic. Might be due to a change in the CE name ( ghost edition to spectre edition...)

This is insane! I can't believe that so close to launch people are still getting canceled. If they were going to cancel, they should of earlier, at least allowing the person to start looking for a replacement in time..

Saw a couple unboxing videos. The box does seems like it is cardboard paper. Heard the opening and dropping of the top cover on the table and sounds cardboard as well.

i suppose its either cardboard, styrofoam, or flimsy plastic frame.... pick yer poison... :(

personally i dont like styrofoam cus it is prone to indentation, and can be a bit of a mess if it gets old and starts flaking

Yeah I hear ya'..Once I saw the CE I was thinking it was like the same kind of case and material that like jewelery rings are displayed/presented in..
Now that would have been acceptable IMO...
