Not fanboying in the least and I definitely don't "don't like" (sorry for the double negative) your post. Just baffled by where you get your facts.

Not counting total volumetric sales, but let's just look at the past several months alone where the 3DS sells more units than the x1 and wiiu (which isn't saying much there I know). It's the #2 selling platform this year alone (behind the PS4), let alone all the success its had year after year being #1. Also, there are more 3rd party games than ever being announced and released on the 3DS on top of a significant 1st party show of support by Nintendo. Its true, I like Nintendo, but I hate their WiiU and what they've done with it -so I'm not disagreeing with you because I "dislike" your statement - its just not a correct statement. But maybe you've got some other definition of "dead" that I don't know about? ;)

Seems like I've heard nothing but good news regarding the 3DS from gamers, reviewers, developers, and investors alike. That's primarily what I base my sentiment regarding it on (factual market performance and expected market "enthusiasm" though that's significantly harder to quantify) and why I defended its performance in the fashion and manner that I did.

It just feels like Nintendo isn't paying enough attention to gamers. Nintendo is far worse than Sony and doesn't even beat MS.

They think as long as hardcore fans keep supporting them there won't be any problem...

And the graphics of 3DS... What can I say... I saw a picture of the original TLoZ OoT and it looks crappy. I showed it to my girlfriend, she said "isn't this one the same as what you played a few years ago on 3DS?"

I really do hate how they limit the amount of consoles they have just so they can bundle them and sell for more with the game. Oh well, called my local GS and they apparently have IN STORE pre-orders available for a specific per-store allocation, so if you didn't get it online yet, call your store and if you can, slap $50 down for this. Yeah, it's incredibly annoying to say the least. Thankfully the price difference for importing one and getting a PAL one locally isn't too drastic, so I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. Lol I'm guessing it will be £180 when it releases here. It was just a shade under £200 to import the US after import fees, postage and currency conversion. However it's just if I had known, I obviously would have gone for a PAL version. >.< Ah well it doesn't matter. XD

Oh NO Cosmic! you did'nt come across ungrateful, i agree with your sentiments of "Piss Off Nintendo" lol..because like i said, i bit the bullet on the persona Q editions, only for Nintendo US to release it later down the road, why not just announce it throughout the world all at once?..we were all lead to believe this Hyrule edition XL was a true US Gamestop exclusive..a rarity of sorts..now it's just another mass produced version available in ALL regions..now look at the Pokemon 2DS special editions in the different colors..i really wanted the Japan ones, but most vendors are asking double retail plus shipping..then i thought it was great to hear about the PAL versions..but only 3 of the 4 are coming to Europe..LOL..and green one was my fave one, but now the PAL and JAPAN boxes are completely different design wise..so i can't even mix the 2 as a set, and of course i know that even if i did order PAL or JAPAN versions...only for Nintendo US to announce them..but what if? they don't ever come stateside?..there's always "that if"..those kind of things take the piss out of collecting..it would be a lot easier to accept if Nintendo went region free..let's hope NX is'nt gimped like that from the get go with locks in place.

Yeah, was just talking to someone last night about that. Still have NO clue why Nintendo did that -- the boxes are still pretty much about the same size and the cost of the charger couldn't have been that much more than the marketing costs of having to label everything with 15 red warning labels that a charger is not included, especially when they sell the charger for like ~$10?!

Really baffling that they didn't at least include a digital code or pre-installed game as well. I guess I can understand that only for the fact that people who would purchase that FE 3DSXL probably would also purchase the game separately. And truthfully, I never use the digital codes anyway so no big deal to me, but just seems odd that they wouldn't charge people for it anyway?

I'm just lucky that the first ds/3ds I purchased was the ALBW one which had a charger because the last 2 haven't! God forbid I wanted to play two of them at the same time though? It'd kind of be like getting a new iPhone without a charger - sure most people probably have a charger already, but doesn't mean they don't want another one and also what about all the other people who aren't in the majority? :facepalm:

Yeah, not sure about that. Seems unlikely though. Its one thing to do that from a 3DS --> N3DS when everything is nearly exactly the same. But seems very unlikely they'd do it for an entirely "next gen" platform.

Very nervous about the reveal though... so many different "rumors" out there, some good some bad. No matter what, the outrcry will probably be the same as it always is though:

1) 1 group of people who are absolutely in love with it and shocked at how amazing it is (and it'll undoubtedly have some new, if not revolutionary, method of input or output as Nintendo always does).
2) another group who says its already dead on arrival and Nintendo is finished forever
3) those who legitimately critique it for the things it should do and doesnt while also acknowledging the things it might do well
4) those who really don't care and say "Nintend-whaa?"

Some other guarantees:
- it'll have eshop access
- it'll have amiibo access
- it'll almost certainly have a bad or confusing name
- there'll be a gimmicky game at launch

I really hope there are enough inventory, since there is NO discount of the price of the 2DS Zelda bundle, so "not a deal" for Black Friday in anyways..plus Nintendo taking on expense of recoloring the case plastics to green..i hope they produce enough quantities to last some weeks into Christmas, especially with the green theme..in my local US Market, the Metroid SAMUS RETURNS 3DS XL console is in surplus supply..overproduced..so there is No telling with Nintendo..so i am remaining optimistic about the availabiity of this green 2DS.
