Anyone else get one with broken pieces? And man, very cheap plastic all around. And im usually very optimistic about various collector editions.

I got the only Version that was not broken and it goes next 15 Min tho the User Saturn. I packed it inside the box and outside to avoid damage to the Collectors Box. The Gamestop MT was really angry. 4 Collectors are going back, most other gamestops dont sell this. Broken pieces, holy shit this is Crazy EA. I think just the half of this collectors are not damaged. Maybe it gets the holy grail of collectors editions to have one unbroken.

The pre-orders mysteriously vanished from the Gamestop UK site a few days ago so maybe they've spotted the problem and are trying to rectify it somehow.

Ohhh yea. Very cheaply made plastic all around. Even the "lockpick tool set" is plastic and very brittle. The only thing i can say thats nice about it is the presentation. Nice outter looking sleeve and box. Everything inside is shit. Steelbook collectors are going to be even more dissapointed as well. You cant even display it nicely with your other steelbooks due to the fact the spine is just plain black with no text or anything.

I received mine yesterday and everything inside had moved around but nothing was broken, luckily. I also agree that everything inside is very cheap and I agree with CollectorFanatic that the presentation is very nice. It is disappointing but for some reason, the gf loved it. I guess she has lower standards than me.

Thats pretty much how mine came. Except the castle thing also came out of place and the lockpick set pieces were everywhere. Luckily that half pointy circle thing that goes in the lions mouth is fixable.

I like this CE. The way people were banging on about the quality of the items inside makes me laugh! From the way people were going on, I was expecting the models to be hollow plastic and weigh next to fuck all. Like something I'd expect to buy from the Games Workshop. Unpainted and flimsy feeling.

Ok, I will admit that there are a couple of items that are undwhelming. The lock pick set for example and the Inquisitor's badge. Would have been nice if they were made out of metal. Also I feel there was a bit of a design flaw with the top lid. There should have been something like a clear Perspex cover to stop the items from falling out of the top. Should have been the same as in the concept image. >.< One more thing, what the fuck was the deal with the game case hooder being moulded into the top of the outer sleeve!? There was plenty of fucking room where the journal goes for the game case. That was annoying too.

Nethertheless, I think I would have still been happy with it had I purchased it myself. It's by no means a bad CE and I am sure we have all spent a lot on other CEs that have either come with less items or are of lesser quality? :P

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you but you kinda set yourself up for it by stating that you laugh at others banging the quality of this. When it comes down to it, removing the game from this aspect, you are paying $100 dollars for the box and what it contains. Now, I agree that there are a lot of things they have included. No one has knocked on the statues except the fact they were packaged poorly and some have talked about damage. You, yourself, started criticizing the quality of the contents.

For comparison sake, look at other notable collections that are separate from the game, Treehouse Brand Stores, and you will see a vast difference in quality of items for nearly the exact same price i.e. Paddock, Panzerhund, and Dev Team editions. Just my two cents...

Edit: I am most unimpressed with the "Orlesian" coins.

It's fucking garbage. The plastic little lockpick tools are no different to the cheap shit you will find in those $2 toy machines. It's really poor.

The quill? Holy shit, the quill. I feel like I'm a kid again at some shitty fairground. Cheap &plastic, with bits coming off of it.

The notebook + cloth map are the only decent things. The rest is of REALLY poor quality. I own dozens of CEs (maybe more) and I've never seen anything this shoddy before. They've certainly outdone themselves.

And for $220. It did arrive undamaged, so I will see if it appreciates in value at all. If not, I will put it in the bottom of the cupboard with all of the other shitty CEs I seem to have collected.

I actually quite like the CE, maybe because mine came without everything flying all over (except the coins) and undamaged. My steelbook have abit ding from the bird.

I think the main issue is with the CE content being loose and easily damaged giving very negative impression to the reviewer and buyers. I was expecting them to have a plastic or cardboard layer for the top and bottom to keep the items in their compartment but they just slabbed everything in.

They could easily found the issue when they put all the content in and flip it around for a few minutes to see the damages.

My Inquisitor's Edition arrived with the Owl Marker and the Inquisitors Badge broken and one hinge on the case was detached. My steelbook was also scratched from the pieces flying around loose in the case. I just found this page on the EA help site:http://help.ea.com/en/article/gamestop-inquisitor-edition-pieces-broken-or-missing/. I'm going to contact them as soon as I get a day off.

Just my partner's brother ordered one maybe a month or two ago and whilst he received a shipping confirmation there's no game to be seen and so we're not sure what's happening but I have heard the oversold thing a lot and it wouldn't surprise me since they were on sale until maybe just a few weeks ago.

As for me, I'm not complaining greatly about the quality, sure, obviously could've been better but I went into it expecting utter shit and so it was okay, what I do have an issue with is how it was packed and handled and thus the damage caused.
I don't even understand how it was so chaotic with things supposed to be on the top tray ending up on the bottom tray and things being disassembled, etc.

Alright guy's I'm a bit worried. Some strange things are going on with my shipment. I ordered the Inquisitor's Edition through GameStop.com. I live in the US and it was online only. It was shipped on Monday, and is scheduled to be delivered today, Friday. A UPS truck stopped in front of my house but didn't deliver anything. Odd. When I track it it says "out for delivery", and that it weighs 10 pounds! This set doesn't look like it weighs 10 pounds. Odd again. When I log into GameStop and check my order history, there's no record of me ordering it, even though there was a record for it yesterday and the record of my cancelled orders from months ago are still there. Very odd. Let's hope I get it. I fear it may be lost, which means countless phonecalls to customer service ahead. :c

Try feeling the lock pick sleeve.
One of mine was broken that I only spotted tonight on a second look and I was able to fish it out of the sleeve after feeling it in the bottom although it'd be easy to miss.

This is how its described on the official page. I would be hard pressed to pick my nose with this set of "tools". If I weren't getting a refund I would gladly send you the 3 1/2 pieces that came in my set, providing a cat didn't come along and crap on them first.

In a videogame landscape with CEs with cool statues, airplanes, rc cars with cameras, detailed nic nacs ala Panzermund Edition, hell even the asian edition of Dragon Age with it s simple wooden case gives just a nice first impression. The Fallout Collectors editions for both 3 and New Vegas were great, actual metal lunch box, actual poker quality chips, i mean the quality was epic, and thats for older CEs. I just wished the same care went into it, as well as the shipping! I collect Hot Toys and im very picky bout shipping.

Heh, yeah, don't worry about it too much, you really aren't missing much. There isn't even any exclusive DLC for it so you can get exactly the same experience by just getting the deluxe one.

I agree on your second point, I figured that's why I got mine and he didn't have his yet but maybe they've just done some kind of lottery for who gets them.
Also, actually something that I've not seen suggested yet, maybe they were expecting returns and the ones that don't have it yet will be getting ones that were returned in the hope that some of that second group keep them.


EDIT: Just wondering, something I meant to ask everybody, did anybody else have sticky coins? I found that quite odd but I'm not sure why or how they're sticky.

Why would anybody want a damaged CE that cost an arm and a leg anyway ??

I mean A) it's overpriced B) to send stuff out like this is ridiculous C) it's time they wound up CEs because they are becoming shoddier and shoddier.

I love my PS3 CEs but I'm glad I decided not to collect them for PS4.

Got my Inquisitors edition finally went I went to visit the family for thanksgiving and lo and behold things were broken. I got off pretty lightly though, the bird had popped out of its socket, instead of breaking at the ankles which is great. And a small piece broke off of one of the tips on the badge. Just called Gamestop and they refunded me $50 (gift card). All in all I like this edition. The cards are beautiful and the map markers are nice, and the box will look good next to the panzerhund edition I ordered on Wednesday.

I wanted to get the Dead Space 3 one but I missed out. :( I'm glad I have a disposable income to get what I want now. I could never pay what you guys pay for stuff on eBay though. If I can't get it for its release msrp or lower I can't bring myself to pay for it.

Without the game it's just memorabilia and no different than any other video game toy, statue, art book, ect.. sold separately.
