Hi,
on my brown box from GAME with the corner protection peices it says 9KG but on the DPD shipping label it says 1.0KG which is a mistake, i think they meant 10KG

Thanks for that.
Ordered one from Japan and the shipping weight was coming out at 9.3 KG, which I thought was on the high side because the standard PS4 is about 5 KG tops.
Must be that black box it comes in.

Yea the american version when it was shipped said 19lbs. I thought they were sending me 2 for that kind of weight. Weird

So what's the general thought on the value of these, I'm really torn - I'd love ot buy one (to use) but I can't justify the ~£1000, especially as I'm fairly certain the value will drop...especially if Sony release a non-numbered edition.
I'm tempted to sell a lot of my stuff to fund it, but I really don't think it's worth the investment...what about you guys?
edit - I read some of the first few pages and I tend to agree with twisted that the value will drop, once the £1000 payers dry up there will be a natural drop. Think I'd happily pay over the RRP - I offered some guy on eBay £500 + I'd come and collect and pay cash in hand but he wasn't interested, didn't even come back with a counter or reply, I offered another guy £600 and he politely declined, I figured someone might be interested in a no-hassle deal...such a shame the Game promotion was a shambles.

I'd be very surprised to see one sell for less than £900 on Ebay. Remember Ebay + Paypal charge the seller about 13.4% on the whole transaction. So the seller has to take that into account too.
For a cash pick up maybe you could snag one for £800. But remember these are very limited. Remember when the original backwards compatible PS3 FAT was launched in November 2006, many years later they were selling for over $2000 on Ebay!
I entered the 'shambles' competition and submitted the form like within 40 seconds and still failed to get one :( On another day the page failed to load in time! so I had no choice but to buy at premium.
Good luck with getting one at a good price though.

Maybe, I just think there's a lot of hysteria at the moment that will die down.
As said by twisted there are examples of much more limited hardware being worth substantially less so you never know.
I still have the Sony picture competition to hold onto :(
How much did you pay for yours anyway?

Yes maybe.
I bought mine for about £900 including shipping from Japan. Not sure if I'll get hit with some tax. Let's see. If I was patient I reckon I could have got it for £800 though.

thanks guys - was gutted to miss out, TBH there was a load of us trying together on another forum and he managed to get 2, he hadn't decided if he was going to leave one sealed in the loft or sell it on...when he decided to sell on he put all the names of people involved who didn't get one in a hat, seems I was 2nd out of the hat but 1st out had already snagged one without letting us know so I get my chance!
I can relax a bit now! :beach:

lol I know which forum that is. :P I was watching the thread through the whole affair!! XD I'm not registered there. Loads of people there got them though. I remember there being loads of members on said forum getting the Mario, Peach and Toad designed 3DS consoles from the Club Nintendo raffle a couple of years ago too. lol

Yeah that's the one.
I know that the 3rd most expensive went for 1116€ (Posted a random guy on facebook that bought it).
The cheapest one i have no idea, but was problably between those prices.

Speaking of amazing # - Looks like the most coveted of all PS4s is listed up for auction by Sony. You'll have to sell/mortgage your house to possibly bid on it (unless you're rolling in streams of cash), but that'd be quite the bragging rights... plus its for "charity".. right??

Likely companies or just some multi-millionaire...you'd be surprised what they will 'waste' money on, but I suppose at least this is for charity

Anyone possibly interested in a Gold PS4 Anniversary HEadset for $80? The MSRP on this is $100, but got it when it was a bit cheaper. Just figured I'd ask before I cancel the order.

Just so everyone knows. There's is slight differences in the recently released 20th anniversary controller to the the controller that comes with 20th anniversary console. They're near identical BUT the recent released controller's touch pad has the basic tiny dimples like every other controller. The controller that came with the system has tiny triangles, exes, Os, squares and 2s all over. Just letting everyone know

Pretty sure WW, certainly US - I don't expect these to be ultra rare or anything but I'm fairly sure it'll be a limited run.
I have the console but never used the controller which is why I'm buying one, I don't mind the minor difference...TBH I would have liked Sony to release a 20th anniversary PS4 that was not numbered and maybe lacked the 'premium' finish of the numbered console (things like the paint finish not having the PS symbols 'engraved' like the touchpad difference on this) - still, at least this controller means everyone can get in on the anniversary if they want :)

Yeah it was the first thing I requested when I was chatting with Hollie B (community manager for PlayStation) as we went for a meal with some friends and she tagged along, and found out that I won a chance to buy the console from GAME that very day so was very excited.
I basically asked if they'll release the controllers as it'll be really special and people will likely want it. I'm glad it has happened, even though it doesn't have the mesh design on it.
I certainly didn't use the controller and will be buying at least 2 of these and will use it.
The PS1 was my all time favourite console so it had to be done. :)
Just to let you know guys that it is also still available for pre-order over here in Czech Republic - http://www.jrc.cz/hra_ps4_dualshock_4_wireless_controller_anniversar y_edition
Price 1.699 CZK equalls to approx. 45 GBP / 70 USD / 63 EUR
I just thought that someone might be interested :)
