Hey guys.

I was told that there are some very knowledgeable people here, so I'm hoping that someone could tell me a bit more about this one.

I recently bought "Tekken 4 Special Edition" for the PS2.
It seems to be a promotional copy linked to the King of Iron Fist Tournament International Finals in London back in 2003.
Whether or not it could exclusively only be acquired at the event, I really don't know.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information on the internet and most seems to be speculation, at best.

The spine does say "Tekken 4 - Special Edition" and the standard Tekken 4 SCES-50878 as well.
On the disc however, it's SCES-50878#.
Other than that, the disc isn't any different from a regular Tekken 4 disc.

I'm hoping that some of you might know a little bit more on this peculiar item.

Thanks!

it is very RARE and is definitely the tournament game...it was available ONLY at the tournament as a coronation souvenior....but you had to be a registered tournament player in order to be given a copy of this version, not just a spectator.

Also tournament team/stuff members.
Very low print run but not very expensive - years ago saw one sealed copy in eBay for about 70eur.

Oh, well :D

Thanks for the information, guys.

I guess that you could almost call it the NWC 1990 of Tekken :P

No matter the value, it's still a fun rarity that I'm very happy to have in my collection ;)

And to find it randomly for about the equivalent of 3 US dollars, it's definitely a good deal in my book! :D
