Can anyone help? I need to ship a ~5kg item to Australia and Royal Mail are quoting me around £100...are there any other options I should consider?

Thanks
Gary

Well, shipping with priority and tracking to Australia from Poland costs 272 PLN ~ 55 GBP.
I could do this, cause Exohain collects packages for me and you could send it to him then he will ship it with mine packages to me, but I have no contact with him from last wednesday...

Edit: if time of delivery is not important, there is a cheaper economic option, tracked, for 87 PLN ~ 16-17 GBP

What are the dimensions of the package?

Hi Gaz.

Just a few sites I normally use for international shipping.

http://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk

https://www.parcel2go.com

https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk

Pop the package dimensions into this sites and see who comes back with the best price. Packages will then typically ship with UPS or FedEx. Most wil require you to be available for the item to be collected from your address.

£100 does seem a little expensive. I remember when Mags shipped my DS3 Prestige over, it was around £120 pounds I think, but the box was over 12Kg.

That was using ipostparcels (http://www.ipostparcels.com/), I got it in like 2 days too. Might be worth checking them out.
