Soul Calibur IV Steelbook?

I recently picked up a steelbook of Soul Calibur IV (PS3) on ebay. I honestly don't know much about it and I was hoping one of you guys might be able to shed some light on it.

What I know:
-It's European (I think)
-It's a promotional item of some sort
-It has an Xbox 360 counterpart

I got one with my copy on 360 way back when.

I'm curious where and when it was released, if it was retail or press related. Basically anything about it's history. I like to Know about the things in my collection, I guess that's part of the fun for me is being able to talk about it.

Well all I know it was released at retail. I got mine from EB Games here in Australia, it came as a bonus with the standard copy of the game at release back in 2008.

AFAIK, there's nothing particularly special about it.
