Australia just passed a law that requires all items powered by button batteries to have screwed holding cells. Apparently this impacted a large number of high end LED Powered statues and action figures. A lot of Hot Toys and Prime 1 statues had to be recalled as they aren't compliant.

Australia just passed a law
This is the first I've head of such a law, but then again I don't really follow such stuff. TBH, practically every device or toy we've bought in the last year or two already has a screw, even our electronic kitchen scales.
This is majorly aimed at the markets and $2 shops selling cheap Chinese knockoff products I would think.

It's to stop kids swallowing the batteries I would think. Even the packets that new CR2032 batteries come in need the jaws of life (almost) to get into!
