I have noticed that many collector's on this forum don't just collect Limited edition games, they collect Dvds, Blur-ray, figures vinyls, soft toys pre-order bonus, etc.

So it good to have thread in the off topic section to help advertise collection, new releases and notify others of anything new coming out.

I currently have the Avater Limited Collector's edition Blur-ray, limited to 1000 units. It's a really nice Edition. but a bit expensive.

Also I know Rockstar are making a vinyl soundtrack of Red dead redemption if anyone is interest in that sort of thing. Certainly unquie, might get his one.

Just found that play.com have the Metorid prime gunship from first 4 figures for £150. Very good price. I paid £220 for mine. There are only 750 of these made.

Updates to the UK and likely Europe Nintendo Star Catalogue

Super Mario Galaxy one soundtrack Platinum version and normal version.

The Platimum version is rare as it was sould out in the Japan and US Stores. They fecth £40+ GDP. This is not the second game soundtrack but the first.

Well for me, this is no brainer, I'm judging by the last limited release which was Avatar which also had a 1000 unit release. There is a much bigger dedicated following for Tron because of the original movie. I could be completely wrong but I taking the risk it may not sell out and drop in price a few weeks after release.

The Hardcover book has a lenticular cover art, which looks like it's removable. When this second version is being released is not known but it won't be a collector's edition just a normal paperback.

Oh the most important part is that they are all individually numbered, no word on numbers yet though, we just know that that it's a limited release which likely means over 100K worldwide.

Underwhelmed by the Dead Space 2 LE's replica cutter?

The Plasma Cutter replica included with the collector's edition of Dead Space 2 (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/13/dead-space-2-collectors-edition-with-replica-plasma-cutter-leak/) is nice and all, but it doesn't have that overboard extravagance that some people want from their video game memorabilia. Now, these full-size replicas (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=EW1047) being released next month -- there's some real, substantial money-wastin'.

The $220 replica of the Plasma Cutter from the first Dead Space, and the $240 Dead Space 2 version (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=EW1048), are packaged in metal briefcase-style carriers, and have rechargeable batteries to power the realistic "3-blast spot" lighting. The only thing they lack is real cutting power -- which is a shame, because at these prices, you're going to wish for real life-or-death monster battles to justify the cost.

Akira Blu-ray Steelbook is coming out on the 27 - June -2011 and is a UK Exclusive, It also includes a 40 page Art book and a DVD copy.

Gears of War 3's retro lancer is coming to Gamestop in the USA.

It will retail for $99.99 standalone or as a bundle with the limited and epic editions of the game. other countries are supposed to get this but nothing confirmed yet.

NECA has designed a 1:1 replica of the new Retro Lancer from Gears of War 3. It's available in pre-order bundles from GameStop.

The Retro Lancer, also known as the Pendulum Wars Lancer Assault Rifle, is the predecessor to the Lancer Assault Rifle. Instead of a mounted chainsaw, the Retro Lancer features a mean-looking bayonet. In GoW3, you can charge and impale unsuspecting foes. The Retro model doesn't have the long-range accuracy of its successor but dishes out more damage in close quarters.

The replica is about as realistic as a fake-ass, sci-fi gun is going to get. The rifle based on 3D data from the game's developers. It's over three-and-a-half feet long and hand-painted. Pulling the trigger will produce a machine gun sound effect.

The Lancer can be pre-ordered with the Limited, Epic, or standard edition of the game. Starting on September 13th you can purchase the $99.99 gun by itself, too. GameStop is the exclusive seller of the replica in North America. The distributors in other territories haven't been announced yet.

OK, so a box for sneakers may not be as useful as, well, most things, but it's a very nice box. There are Mario levels all over it, and Converse's trademark star logo has even been swapped out for one of Mario's own.

They'll be out in Japan in July, and while there's no word on price, come on. These are exclusive Mario sneakers released only in Japan. They won't be cheap.

I normally would go for this but the game is such a pathetic embarrassment to the SOCOM franchise that I really don't think I can picture myself purchasing anything to do with SOCOM 4 or Slant six for that matter.

As Mike said above, the game itself is average. The music is done by Bear McCreary the person behind Battle Star Galatica which in my opinion is some of the best music for a tv series.

For dedicated soundtrack Collectors it will be a must, for myself where I only by the more obscure soundtracks I will wait on this one.

Not a popular series and the fact that they haven't sold out yet means it could be awhile before it does.

My advice, wait on it.

t's 274 pages of concept and promotional art from throughout the series, while also including historical info on the characters and the games they've starred in.

So far only Japanese language and release details are known, the book due out on Dec. 21 and priced at ¥3255 (USD$41).

There is no confirmation yet for a English translation. but I'm hopping that will change.

You can have a talk with Symphony - see what he thinks. Afterall, we are called "CE.o" which doesn't limit us strictly to gaming - though we are mostly all gaming centric. I think it wouldn't hurt to have 1 dinky section for non-gaming/collectible or movie/comics etc. It may not see much activity like other areas but it would build slowly over time I'm sure...

And BTW, this Harry Potter set is outrageous! WB Headquarters should be blown up. How can they possibly think they will get away with this for 350$ (original price 500! haha)? + I read this doesn't even have proper extras - just repack and all discs won't come in digipacks but loose in paper holders. To make matters worse, WB is misrepresenting "digital copy" advertising by saying "Ultraviolet digital copy". Ultraviolet is not digital copy. lmao
