Saw this on the Play.com and Zavvi website:
Said to include a 48-page art book, mini-soundtrack CD, and downloadable costume for Dissida 012. That’s probably the Aya outfit for Lightning.
Current listings from:
Coolshop for £23.99 (http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/product/65961-the-3rd-birthday-twisted-edition--for-psp)
zavvi.com for £29.85 (http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/psp/3rd-birthday-twisted-edition/10301710.html)
Play.com for £29.99 (http://www.play.com/Games/PSP/4-/15572269/3rd-Birthday-Twisted-Edition/Product.html)
Amazon.de for 39.99 Euros (http://www.amazon.de/Birthday-Bildschirmtexte-multiling-Sprachausgabe-englisch/dp/B004GKDFMK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295561634&sr=8-1)

Ok, is that Zavvi price a typo? Your link is also wrong, and links to Lord Of Arcana instead
Strange that PLAY.com only have the one listing for this, and no standard edition available. GAME don't even list it on their site, and HMV only seem to have the standard edition listed on theirs
Of all the retailers, Zavvi and PLAY.com are on my most hated list, so would be nice if GAME and HMV do get it

That's it I hate N. American SquareEnix. They don't even give their fans something to cheer for.

Yeah, it's kind of weird, as I think there's a viable market for these SquareEnix CE's in North America. They could at least offer these special editions through their N.A. website, like some other companies have. eh.

Argh, it says Coolshop won't ship outside the UK. Any alternatives? They have everything I want.
Should I just order from game or hmv instead?

If you order from Game or zavvi it will arrive damaged for sure.
I would use Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/3rd-Birthday-Twisted-Edition-PSP/dp/B004JQQ4O2/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1295637338&sr=1-2) who have just listed it:
Although the listing said it's out of stock when it hasn't even been released yet. LOL.

Just tried that too, no dice. They won't ship video games outside the EU either....How is Thehut.com? Looks to be pretty much the exact same site type as zavvi.
Trying to grab 3rd Bday, Tactics ogre, dissidia duodecim, and lord of arcana special editions in one order, but the only sites with all 4 available don't ship to NA.
Zavvi and thehut are the same thing. I bought a lot from them and kind of annoyed with their slow shipping, incorect stock statuses and nonproffesionalism.
But besides that, 3rd Birthday is the only reason for me to finally buy PSP. Adored Parasite Eve on PS1 and can't wait for this game to arrive to Europe. Since it will be my first PSP game, darn it has to be some special edition.

The Hut is part of the Zavvi group and are the same store, terrible.
Stay well away.
If you are ordering all four, you can't even use game as it goes over the 1 KG limt, ]
You effectively have 3 choices.
1) Use a export agent who will automatically forward any package to you, similar to Borderlinx in the UK, - very expensive, will have to pay import taxes and they don't re package so If it arrives in poor packaging it will get crushed on the way to you. I personally hate this option.
2) Purchase thorugh eBay - will pay a premium but atleast you can specify good packaging.
3) Ask someone here or another forum to forward you a copy

Figured as much, guess it's down to HMV at this point. Few $ cheaper, and the special editions are actually listed (instead of just standard editions at Game.co). Why can't it be easier to import?!?! heheh
Thanks for the input guys.
edit: Thanks gurpswoo, sounds like HMV really is the best choice. Even though the don't have 3rd bday for pre-order yet. Gonna grab the other 3 since tactics and dissidia special editions are listed at 24,99 each. Seems like a decent price.

yah, eBay is usually an easier route, but it will certainly cost you. Amazon.uk currently lacks the infrastructure to ship shit overseas, for whatever reason. (hopefully this gets amended in the near future)
HMV ships internationally, it seems: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/navigate.do?pPageID=3329
The question remains, does HMV ship items with adequate packaging? I dunno, but perhaps someone else on this forum has experience with HMV and can fill us in.

HMV will ship the item in a box, it's a unique design which reinforces the sides but not the top or base, had very good results for UK but no idea how it would arrive via international delivery.

OK, at least we now know that HMV isn't as bad as Zavvi or PLAYA. Thanks, gurps.

I ordered the Heavy Rain HMV exclusive, and it came in great condition, so I went back to the well and got all 4 UK SEs that I was looking at.
Back on topic, HMV now has the twisted edition for pre-order.

*Bump*
Twisted Edition has been officially announced by SquareEnix:
Square formally announces 3rd Birthday Twisted Edition
Square’s just announced the Twisted Edition of The 3rd Birthday for Europe.

The SKU was spotted via various retailers (http://www.vg247.com/2011/01/31/square-to-announce-details-of-3rd-birthday-twisted-edition-soon/) yesterday.
The game will ship as the Twisted Edition as standard, and will feature “a number of exclusive items” as well as a hardback book which will feature art, “two deluxe Aya Brea Lithograph art prints and an exclusive Lightning in Aya Brea costume” for Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy.
The publisher’s also announced a celebrity voice cast, featuring Chuck’s Yvonne Strahovski as main character Aya Brea and Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles as Kyle Madigan.
A shot of the Twisted Edition is below. No date for Europe was announced in today’s announcement other than spring.

I actually hope that this game comes in that cool red case. Would make a change from the usual PSP cases.
Here is also the link for the HMV listing:

Unfortunately, GAME have yet to have any edition of The 3rd Birthday up on their site...

IIRC, Square Enix has also done a red case with Lord of Arcana.

Hmm.. interesting. PSP cases in NTSC region are typically clear, which I like, tbh. But I wouldn't mind solid color cases, either.

Oops - I was referring to the outer box color, they are clear here too with the exception of platinum releases.
Sorry about that.
