Hi all

I know alot of you know about the The Conduit 2 Limited Edition already, but I was hearing alot of rumours of an extended collector's edition for one of the PAL regions.

For all those that don't about the normal limited edition: -

The Conduit 2 Limited Edition is a Gamestop exclusive in USA. (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=77639) , I have been searching for any info on other region releases but nothing yet.

It includes:

The Conduit 2 exclusive GameStop Limited Edition!

- 44-page art book featuring a rich selection of concept art and design development insights into Conduit 2’s science fiction world, weapons, and enemies.

- The “Eye of Ra” device is an enhanced in-game "All Seeing Eye" (A.S.E.) device that captures Conduit 2’s hidden secrets in twice the speed.

- The "Gold Destroyer Armor" multiplayer skin based on the lead character’s primary armor.

Gamestop states it's being released on April the 5, but Amazon states the normal version of the game is being released on April 17. Not sure which is right.

It will retail for $49.99 USD the same as the normal version of the game.

-------------------------------------------------------

The extended Pre-order limited edition has popped up at GAME Australia (http://www.game.com.au/the-conduit-2-limited-edition/nintendo-wii/CON2SEWII), Again been searching for other regions but this looks to be another Australian exclusive.

includes:
44-page art book featuring a rich selection of concept art and design development insights into Conduit 2’s science fiction world, weapons, and enemies.
The “Eye of Ra” device is an enhanced in-game "All Seeing Eye" (A.S.E.) device that captures Conduit 2’s hidden secrets in twice the speed.
The "Gold Destroyer Armor" multiplayer skin based on the lead character’s primary armor.
A premium figurine of lead character Agent Ford for all pre-orders.

Key is the figurine included which is very nice indeed, otherwise the contents is the same as the US limited edition.

As the description states it's for pre-orders only, I don't know if this edition will have the figurine in a different box and attached to the normal limited edition. Similar to the Vanquish limited edition also by Sega.

Or if it will be a complete boxed version.

Anyway here are some pictures:

It will be released on March the 18, please note that Ebgames will also sell it and will retail for $79.99 AUD

Congrats Australia collectors, you seem to be getting some very nice exclusive limited edition, although you should considering the price you pay for them.

Nice. Thanks for the info. The AUS version looks like the one to get.

Yeah the AUS version is the one to get, we will have to wait and see if Sega will distribute the better version across other regions. Not likely though.

Not likely though.

Eh, that rots. I'm curious as to why AUS would get this edition, but not Europe.

I think it's because even though they are PAL they are considered a different region and they would get a unique edition for that region.

We can't feel too bad though, because the price they pay for games is seriously high.

For example, Killzone 3 Helghast Edition retails for $248 AUS (http://www.game.com.au/killzone-3-helghast-edition/playstation-3/KILLZHEPS3) or about £160 or $250 USD with current exchange rates. Which I believe is $120 USD more than the US pays for theirs :pooryou: :rotf:.

Preordered! Considering it only costs $80, not a bad price for some AUS exclusiveness. That and I liked Sega's Vanquish figurine so I'm expecting the same quality here.

I agree.. With the example you brought up, AUS should be getting a full Helghast soldier statue and not only the helmet.

Out of curiosity, what does the normal version of the game retail for. I couldn't find or access other AUS websites.

Also agree with the figure, it looks nice and if it's anything like the vanquish one it's going to be good.

$80 AUD looks like a good price for this limited edition.

I see that EBGames Australia has the LE for $90 AUD and the standard for $80 AUD.

Thanks for that Mandingo, well $80 is a fantastic price for the extra content.

Especially as it a pre-order only option.

Thanks for the sentiment.

Because of the strength of our AUS dollar, many Australians have started to import more games than ever before in particular. We pay pretty bad prices here for games sold through retail outlets such as EBGames and GAME. So it's no surprise that I'd rather buy stuff online through places like Zavvi/The Hut, Dvd.co.uk, shopto.net and even GAME UK because I can get Europe-only editions and standard games for nearly 2-3x less than what I'd pay in the stores.

For example, the GT5 Signature edition here was selling for about $300 AUS = $300 US (haha). Although I'm not actually sure how much it was selling elsewhere.
