Zavvi is operated by The Hut, and they have a pretty bad track record for customer service. But they’re also cheap. Take a look at this:

Zavvi Ebay Feedback (http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=zavvi_outlet&iid=-1&de=off&items=25&which=negative&interval=30&_trkparms=negative_30)

I've ordered once from zavvi and it was a pain in the a.. to get the game. But they're cheap, you can test them if you want...

As said above, they're the same company. Or rather, Zavvi is a subsidary company owned by The Hut. Also stated above, both have appalling customer service, and even worse packaging methods. They're cheap for a reason!

If you receive a game, it'll most likely arrive damaged. If you don't receive a game, it'll be a pain to sort out via their customer services. I would personally recommend another retailer (not PLAY.com though, as they are just as bad!)

Don't order any thing that comes In a tin from them. I ordered back to the future limited edition collectors blu ray and they posted it out in a jiffy bag so it cam smashed to hell. They said return for a replacement then 2 weeks later said they couldn't get a replacement so I've never been able to get one of them now as not paying over £100 for it when I was ment to have it for £30

I have ordered once from Zavvi and everything was fine but it was just a standard edition game. It took about 2 weeks for the game to arrive and it was in a cardboard dvd box.

I ordered about 5 times from Zavvi in the past couple months and everything's been fine. The biggest item I bought was the Vanquish w/Figure edition, and it came in a large cardboard box in perfect condition.

But, looking at that ebay feedback...Wow.

If your fussy about the condition of your items then zavvi is probably not worth the hassle, 2 out of my last 3 orders have arrived with some sort of damage to the packaging. :banghead:

Ordered Halo collector edition from the Hut on 26th May, they took the money for it that day from my bank as used paypal to pay.

Today (june 5th) i get an e-mail saying they have canceled my order but dont worry as they didnt take any money from my account which is a lie as its showing on my bank account and also paypal. So ive opened a dispute with paypal against them.

I've ordered numerous times from Zavvi and everything was fine. Shipping times are a bit longer, but that's because I live in Holland and they ship from some foreign country. Therefore you got to have some patience as a foreign buyer.
Packaging was always good, never had to use the return policy.

I guess the Hut has the same policies since they belong to Zavvi.

Almost had to pre-order the Space Marine Collectors edition from Zavvi as it was 54.99 and like 80 quid everywhere else but lucky amazon matched the price so its all good.
