It doesn't have much though, only some post cards and a poster, if you are to believe the description.

I have just received an e-mail from GAME to advise my PS3 Final Fantasy XIII-2 CE edition has shipped.

However they have charged me the original pre-order price of £59.99 and not the more up to date price of £49.99.

Me thinks I'll have to give them a call.

I got Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine CE for PS3 late last year, it arrive in those cardboard envelope type that's used to deliver guide books. It was in great condition, I'd take pics now but I'd store it away. But generally Ozgameshop are good.

I also ordered a Sharp Shooter [pre-order] though I got it from dvd.co.uk back then, and it was packed in a silly bubble-less extra large paper envelope that totally ruined my box for the gun!! It was completely demented and I realised that's what happens to odd shaped parcels...they don't cater for weird large shapes! And worse of all, I paid for the shipping cost! :facepalm:

hey guys just collected the crystal edition.. man they are heavy (5 copies).. total weight is 8 kg :S pictures coming soon

and oh yeah, AU ran out of stock because there's no official 'AU copy'. You can see the ratings is being covered by Australian Sticker rating.. Apparently they import their copies from the UK

Apparently I ordered 5 from the same store.. All 5 arrived in one big flimsy box and they are not sealed at all.. Don't try to find a sealed copy on Ebay. As I was saying, arriving in the flimsy box, some corners of the the slipcase are bent or dented as shown below

Also, all 5 of them weigh 8 kg (according to the sticker outside the flimsy box). Each individual weigh around 1.5 kg - 1.7 kg (weighed it out at postal service).

Well only the slip case I would say gets easily damage. However the box of the game is made of real sturdy cardboard material. So condition of slipcase 8.5-9/10 and box 9.5-10. The manager of store wouldn't let me exchange copies because apparently he only have the limited 5 copies -.- (checked back of storeroom). I didn't want to cancel as I called other shops and they are all out of stock.

The good news guys, those who got it from me, due to the damage I complaint, he gave me 5 extra steelbooks.. So all of you will receive 1 extra steelbook. :D . As mentioned,an official 'AU Copy' does not exist, only steelbook bonuses exist (AU version) as you can see in the pictures (stickered ratings)

I had to settle for NA's version from Best Buy with the hardcover book bonus it came packaged with =/. EU's version, packaging with the hardbox, and contents are so much better than the US edition!

The "zavvi exclusive" comes with the steelbook inside the box, is something they can't take apart.

Packing was not bad. I prefer layers on top, bottom and all sides but here the game is placed flat on the bottom of the box and then padded on top/side. Luckily there doesn't seem to have been any real damage like MGS HD. Maybe a few scuffs but I haven't seen anything to actually cry over (and I cry over the tiniest things!) Will check my PS3 versions in a moment.

Oh, and yes that is an invoice too for those that would like to know.

If it's because Square was too cheap to print an AU ratings on their slip covers, and instead just placed an AU ratings sticker over the PEGI ratings...the least they could have done was shrink wrap it again!

Just received my Crystal Edition this morning. It's quite well made, and everything I expected the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection CE to be. This is obviously how to do a CE correctly!

For some reason GAME shipped the SteelBooks separately. I complained via Twitter about not receiving mine, then two minutes later it showed up with the regular postie packaged in corrugated cardboard.

Even the SteelBook is done nicely, and each has a console specific cardboard band around it (for the barcode and other information), and are shrinkwrapped. Very tasteful artwork too, although I do feel that the front should have been the back and vice versa!

I will post pics of these here in a little while. Unfortunately, I only pre-ordered the X360 version. I'm starting to wosh that I had ordered the Limited Editon set as well...

Yep, I thought the artbook was outstanding - some really great images. The only thing that would have improved it would be a hardback.

I think I could presumptuously blame EB for this and only EB alone!

My chaos theory: They received it completely factory sealed. They ripped out the shrink wrap, they slap on the AU ratings stickers over the printed PEGI ratings, then they leave it like that and pack it to distribute!

I see no point in this though, they just messed up a perfectly great CE that needn't to be ruined by being opened. The reason being...it was pointless to just place the ratings stickers on the exterior packaging when the game cover art and disc itself still has the PEGI ratings printed on it!! :banghead:

So what was the point EB? Who gives a toss if the slip case cover has a sticker on it? When copy of the game doesn't and that's the thing that more likely to be resold or seen when playing the game?! It's a pretty moronic and convoluted practice that only brings disappointment and stupidity on their part! :suicide:

Because costomers don't see the disc, they see the actual box instore. If the disc was on the shelf was on the store by itself, then it would need a sticker on it.

well to me I think, as long as it stays minty.. it will still have value.. not brand new sealed value buy if your plan is 20-30 years down the track.. it doesn't really matter

Hmm, that is indeed interesting, but would explain the cardboard band around them. I guess they're generic size, as they are unbranded themselves. Are the contents any different, I wonder? Or is it just the branded cardboard band around it that's different?

I own both steelbooks and the only difference notable from the outside is the cardboard inlay, for the rest i dont know because they are sealed :/.

But now i face a dilema, dont know if ill open my crystal edition or keep it sealed. Im afraid to open it, it looks so beautiful and untouched lol.

I've collected my copy of Crystal Edition yesterday.
Well, it's nice overall, but...they again, made a booklet and called it "artbook", oh how I wish they would make once a collector's edition that would have an A4 hardcover book with lots of pages ,i like their concept arts so much ;_; I also didn't like the digipack the CD's were in, oh and the t-shirt was f*cking huge, not like i was hoping it will fit me, but I still wish you could choose the size while ordering, instead of them assuming only big people play games.
Actually the thing I like the most is the box (and the game)! It's so awesome looking.
But I'm still more than happy that I have it and wouldn't trade it ever. Square at last made a proper collector's edition! (as opposed to a flier, OST demo and some stickers)

Well, it's nice overall, but...they again, made a booklet and called it "artbook", oh how I wish they would make once a collector's edition that would have an A4 hardcover book with lots of pages ,i like their concept arts so much ;_; I also didn't like the digipack the CD's were in, oh and the t-shirt was f*cking huge, not like i was hoping it will fit me, but I still wish you could choose the size while ordering, instead of them assuming only big people play games.
Actually the thing I like the most is the box (and the game)! It's so awesome looking.
But I'm still more than happy that I have it and wouldn't trade it ever. Square at last made a proper collector's edition! (as opposed to a flier, OST demo and some stickers)

These pre-order Steelbooks came in G1 size only, I believe only Futureshop offered a G2 size?? The contents are pretty sweet for something that came for free :)

For the XIII series, they've always sold the OST in digi-pak form for some reason. I like it the way it is, even the US CE is in digi-pak only.
Hm..they generally sell their normal edition OST's in digipack form, and I like the design they have. But the digipack from the CE looks way cheaper than the normal, retail version.
Also, I saw an unboxing and, if I remember correctly, the CD's in the US CE were stuck to the packing itself (like the artbook) Or am i confusing something?

Fitzgera1d, since there is no official such thing as a sealed version for AUSTRALIA, it won't have a detremential effect, if it is clearly maked australian version with the warning decals, granted the UK version will be more desireable, but no 1 can negate the value based on the australian edition because yours aussie version is unsealed, since a sealed version "never existed" ;)

You are technically correct Twisted, but there also happens to be no "real" Australian version either as they are all EU versions...originally.

What EB did was unseal the package and just placed the Australian ratings sticker on the slip cover of the outer box [to cover the PEGI ratings], but the game case is still an EU version because the ratings decal printed is PEGI [which was left sealed inside the package]. What EB could have done to amend this was if they re-shrink wrap it and perhaps also leave a note to inform you of they did??]

If they're not going to make copies of the packaging specifically for Australia, they could have had the decency to repackage it before sending it out to customers/retail stores. /rant :P

Fitzgera1d, i know that BestBuy has the ability to re-shrink wrap games, and one time i was at Gamestop, and i was buying a "new" game, and the box was unsealed, so i asked for a sealed copy, and they said.."this is our last one"..but,.."i can shrink wrap this for you, we have a machine in the back, and it's pretty quick and easy once i set it up"....so i'm wondering if this "shrink wrapping machine"..is in the back of every gamestop store?..maybe if we asked nicely :)..they could do us a small favor, and reshrink wrap our Aussie editions and at least we'd feel better ;). and pretend it's the real deal :)

I'm not sure how it works on PSN, but i tried to reedem my XBL code on my European console, on my American account and it didn't want to go through. I had to make an European account. So even if it does work, chances are you will still need to make an European account and download it from the store there.

PAL DLC code = Requires a PAL region PSN. Either use a UK or Australia PSN, codes will work on almost any PAL PSN unless otherwise stated.

US DLC code = US game disc only, it will not work for PAL game disc unfortunately.

Yeah, I would have to agree with Lightning. Activision is a bad example and they've been very consistent with mass producing so-called Limited Editions for their most popular franchise.

I would say it's unlikely that we will see a Crystal Ed as not many were made, however it's not impossible. To name a few; Infamous 2 Hero Ed, Uncharted Explorer Ed, Mortal Kombat, God of War 3, all had editions with stock that were either held, returned or production increased after they apparently sold out.

I actually picked up my GoW pandora's box after a restock, so it does happen. I've also seen many collector editions that had apparently sold out, being sold in a local Game store near me, so it's not impossible just unlikely.

Bought two copies, one for me and one for a friend yesterday. Checked today and my account had been suspended and order removed because I didn't update my billing address!! Doh!!

So called them up, explained the situation, the bloke said that although the listing had been removed, there were two showing up on the system, presumably the ones I had cancelled off me.

He said it could take up to a day to reactivate my account. So I made a new account, called up again and spoke to the same bloke. He said they were showing up as discontinued, but if I made my order I should receive them...

Only problem is now though, I have the order number but no email address confirmation from the new addy I gave him. So haven't got a clue if these are going through or not... Think I'm gonna call up tomorrow to check the status. But what a bloody nightmare!

But for some reason, "I got lucky" and 1 mint condition is on it's way to me??? Hmm...

I'm so pissed right now. I pre-ordered the game GAME.UK so I'd receive the steelbook. Guess what ? I received the game and send them an email (after 2 weeks) to ask if they have shipped my steelbook+DLC separately. They told me that it probably got lost so I'd have to give them my address and they would send me a new one. I responded quickly and gave them my address and lol they told me the steelbook offer is only for people from the UK, I would not get it. They apologized.

I hate those losers, I asked for a refund/compensations or for them to send me the steelbook. I also threatened them by canceling all my pre-orders, that's simply not a way to treat their customers. I paid for the shippingcosts so they could have send me the steelbook.

I think they take overseas orders on everything, except things over 1KG in weight - they don't have any exceptions to orders placed from overseas that have UK only preorder bonuses, think that's why they put the warning on the page :)

Unsure, think they didn't but I do know that some members - instead of taking the risk - got UK members to preorder then forward to them (so they'd get the steelbook, only downside is that they then have to pay shipping twice)

Unsure, think they didn't but I do know that some members - instead of taking the risk - got UK members to preorder then forward to them (so they'd get the steelbook, only downside is that they then have to pay shipping twice)

I really don't like how game always gets pre-order bonuses as exclusives for themselves. And i really don't understand why they refuse to send them overseas. If you already agreed to sell things internationally, don't treat those people as second rate customers -.- I got lucky with FFXIII-2, since it was distributed locally, but there are plenty of pre-order stuff that is only available in UK and eventually Germany/France, and a lot of publishers don't seem to care that they are supposed to distribute the game for the whole region and Europe is bigger than those three countries, and on top of that they make deals with one retailer that has the most ridiculous policies.

I finally got my copy from HMV and much to my surprise it was fully sealed and aside from one or two light creases on the outer sleeve which seems to be common amongst this edition it is excellent condition and definitely not store stock
