Anybody here into Strategy Guide CEs and hardbacks ?

It's generally a pretty niche area of games collecting but there are some nice Collector Edition strategy guides to be found - especially many of the hardbacks.

Just wondered if anybody here is interested enough to post some pics . . .I have about a dozen I could post :idea:

I've been seriously considering starting to collect these for a while, and i've asked my sister to buy me uc3 collectors guide to start me off for christmas

Mmmmmm . . .yeah, good choice to kick off your collection. That one looks particularly nice and there are some new copies up on Amazon for as little as £13.50.

Yeah I like collecting the CE guides and Art books. Haven't got many at tthe moment, will upload pictures later

Okay guys and gals thanks for the comments and links . . .some really nice stuff in there. Good to see there are a number of people into these because a lot of Collectors and Limited guides are REALLY nicely produced.

I've got a few guides, only really stated collecting them. In the past I used to buy the odd guide to help me, but nowadays I'd rather have them for the awesome artwork and collectability. Besides, I feel only RPGs need a guide, I have no idea why games like COD need a guide. :shrug:

Thanks Kennyrh, still have quite a few Art and Guide books to add. It just take so long to get it out, set it up, take multiple pictures to get good quality one, process it on PC and upload to site.

Yeah the Assassin creed 2 guide and in particular God of War 3 edition guide are slowly increasing in value, especially sealed. Get them sooner rather than later.

I think it was a North America release only, not sure on that though.

Amazon US is a good place to get it, might need help from members to get it though.

I collect strategy guides in the same manner as that in which I collect games... RPGs and other fun stuff goes in, and where there's a collector's edition, I try to get one regular edition and one collector's edition. An old pic of my strategy guide collection (from April 17th):

Since this pic, I've added probably 30 or 40 more guides into the collection, including some rarities (guides for Lufia 1 for SNES, Nights: Journey of Dreams for Wii, and Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii, to name a few).

I checked and it is the one with Batman in front and catwoman on the back. Since it is sealed and there are the lithographs in the back I suppose it is Catwoman. Send me your offer via PM.
