Hey people. Im looking on importing Resident Evil ORC CE from the US to the UK. Are there any customs charges ect? My total quoted price from Gamestop was $85 including shipping charges. Thanks :ok:

Yes there is likely going to import fees of $17, there may also be a processing fee which if they do charge you will be £11.

It depends if you are unlucky or not, I have had loads of stuff from the US and Japan and have only ever had one major customs charge. That was for the Konamistyle MGS peace walker pack, the robbing arses charged me an extra £45.

If you can get them to mark the package as a 'gift, that will avoid all charges but is technically illegal. If they offer a 'blank packaging option' where they will pack it in a blank box instead of having 'gamestop' written on it - take it.

Worst case scenario you will be charged VAT @ 20% and possibly a couriers handling charge.

The blank box option is normally only a couple of dollars so well worth taking to avoid the charges and delays of the dreaded custom agents....Robbing bastards :P
