Where would be the best place to sell Pokemon Cards?

Hi Everyone

I was having a massive sort out awhile ago, well actually it has been ongoing since January and i came across my Pokemon cards that i collected when i was young - it is the full set of all 151 Original Pokemon (151 due to Mew - what a geek for remembering!) in the official Pokemon card books (they have pages in with slots for all the cards, an album type book)

I tried to sell them on eBay but no one was interested - someone did buy them but it turned out to be a mistake transaction so that was a dead end - i was just wondering where i could sell something like this - i don't know if this site was the right place as it is a collectors item but not a game or film etc

They are awesome and it is a really top notch collection, as very rare as i've never seen a similar collection especially with the official card books that contain them...

They are all mint condition - i collected them all (wait isn't the pokemon slogan!) when i was young and they have been in the card books (i need a better word than that) ever since - they've been in a cupboard for i don't know how long!

If I remember correctly there are 27 shiny ones in the whole set ;)

How much were you looking at for them?

To be honest i wasn't sure how much they are worth, I did originally have them on eBay for £250 but no one was interested then I lowered them to £200 and someone bought them only for me to find out it was a mistake transaction so that was another dead end - i'd be happy with £200 for them - I think they are surely worth that for what they are....

yeah it certainly does - i'd think it would be even better if it brought back money to me :)

i suggest checking trollandtoad to see the actual value of those cards before trying to sell them again. it would be a lot easier to sell certain cards separately but i don't think you would get near that much for them. most old pokemon cards are worthless, save for popular first editions and shadowless cards. your best bet for making any money is to list holo cards separately. most pokemon card collectors are not looking to buy full sets.

I think you'd get around $250 for this max, but I could be way off... I would LOVE to have this though!

i think i'd rather keep it than starting selling separate cards from the set etc - just don't see that working out well - postage for just one card would be a nightmare as well - zhaff2004 it's still for sale if your interested sure we could work something out :)
