This japanese videogame store www.yamato-touch.com will rip you off by not insuring any item they send out, then completely ignoring any emails you send them should you need to return an item or should the item not arrive. They ship from japan and give you a 2 month expected arrival period by which time it is too late to make a paypal claim. Also if its a paypal transaction, banks wont usually do a chargeback so you are screwed.

I thought at the checkout point they do offer other means of shipping such as Express/Fedex which are more reliable/trackable?

Yeah, most places offer other shipping methods, and I'm sure some people on here have ordered from Yamato before, with no problems.
I'm sure if your item has gone missing they will help you out xx

OP said they DONT reply to emails if your item goes missing. Read. Anyway even if op did not use the trackable service its still the sellers responsibility to get the item to the customer. Tracking is there to cover the seller's arse, not the buyers. Yamato Touch is Shite if they just ignore their customers's queries.
Buy from a reputable company next time
Just start a paypal claim when you near the end of the 45 day paypal claim time frame to protect yourself. Even if the company want you to wait longer, screw them, its the only way to protect yourself from item not recieved problems. You dont need to pay extra for tracking services, thats their job

I had to send them a message about a package because the tracking said it had to be return to sender.
They messaged back and said they had sent it out again so the old tracking was invalid and gave me a new one. I got the package just fine though.
They have more than one shipping method. You must had only paid for Sea Mail, which can longer than 2 months. You shouldn't blame them for it. It's the postal service. International packages can take up to 45 days even during airmail unless you pay more. They have an option their site to receive the package in about 5 days which is great for international service, even domestic that's still good.
You shouldn't expect them to cover the cost for tracking especially when it's an international order because that would lose money on it. It's $13 more just to get tracking on it.
They even sent some nice free little treats with my package :)
