So, the once Wii Exclusive Resident Evil HD Chronicles is set for release on PSN this June, but I'm wondering if any of you know if there will be any physical box set for this released in Japan or Europe?
The HD Revival Selection (in Japan) which was known simply as HD remake for Code Veronica & Resident Evil 4 got a very nice limited box set in Japan (which I have a picture of below):

Please, any info from anyone would be great...
Go Collectors go!

http://www.play-asia.com/Biohazard_Chronicles_HD_Selection_Limited_Boxset/paOS-13-71-bp-49-en-70-4oo1-4-6.htmlThank you both for these links. I've never used play asia so I didn't think to look there.
I'm confused.
The first listing you showed me is for the standard game right? IN physical form? It costs 54 USD.
The second link shown here, is for a limited box set. But it's only 49 USD.
Did I miss something?
How can the limited box set be cheaper?
Does play asia ship international and do they package well?

Not sure but it confused me so much that I ordered the limited one ;)

They do indeed ship international, I've only ordered a couple of items from them in the past but I've not had any issues with packaging so far...

Have you used play asia before workshed?
They say they don't charge for orders until shipped.
But at the end of checkout, it says "play asia will preoauthorize your credit card" after submitting order.
Usually preauthorizations are bad cause they hold the funds and keep them held until release date.
Can you confirm how they do this?

I have used them before for a couple of things but I've never done a preorder with them so I'm not sure to be honest. Given the game itself is listed as June I'm not too bothered if the preauth happens as it's only a couple of weeks. I can check my CC in a couple of days to let you know if you like?

I hate preauths because I usually have a low balance between paychecks and preauths are basically the same as full withdrawals. I use a debit card so...
Thanks man!

Yeah no probs, it'll take a couple of days before the CC updates so will let you know :)On the item page itself, it explicitely states "Play asia does not charge your credit card before item is in stock". And on their payment info section, it states that only Paypal orders are charged immediately, but Credit Cards you don't pay up front.
So hopefully I'm good.
Would still like to know how you fare w/ your CC in a few days...

Pre authorisation occurs when you're a new customer who's never made an order before, it's a pre check to make sure your cc isn't a fraud or anything...just like when you sign up for paypal.
As for those two links, they differ in price like that because Japanese versions (of any sort) are always more expensive than any other region edition. Browse through the site and you'll quickly realise how much more you have to pay for Japanese region games :S

Im pretty sure they're both Japanese versions of the game... Only difference is one is LE and one is standard, bizarrely the standard version is more expensive!

Yes they are both actual Japanese games in terms of the language the game is set in [no English]. What I was referring to were the 'regions' they are from, those two links both indicate which region the game disc were made for...which are Japan and Asia. Both disc hold the same Japanese language spoken games. Japanese 'region' indicated games are always more expensive incomparable to other regions, and you'll find Japanese CE/LE are astronomically more expensive compared to PAL/US NTSC/Asia region editions of the same standard/CE/LE [when applicable].

Ah I see, sorry! I would have expected the LE version to be the Japanese region game... Wierd!

Anyone know if a possible PAL version will be popping around? For these kind of "side" Resident Evil games, they never give us physical box sets anymore in Europe, Australia or US. ONLY Japan.

Wasn't me but no probs ;)
To be honest, I would not buy at play-asia cause it´s pretty expensive. It´s a Hong Kong based shop and if u compare the prices with normal stores in HK its even double the price. During my time in HK I saw the Revival Selection (the one with the artbook) a couple of times and it cost like 300 KHD (about 30€). Of course, most of u guys don´t have any other possibility to buy that stuff but I asked a friend of mine who lives there and she bought it for me this week for 200 HKD (sealed). The price at play-asia is still 45USD (about 37€) for the normal version. And shipping is not even included in the price.

If you know of another site that will ship internationally for less then that would be great but a lot of these places can get away with charging more because we have no other way of getting this stuff :tumbleweed:
I know that´s the major problem.
I remember there were some stores in Tsim Sha Tsui and Sham Shui Po which ship internationally (at least there were signs in front of the stores saying so). But of course I don´t remember the names.
I will ask some friends in HK if they know any stores which ship internationally.
I also just looked on gamehubs where I used to order my Asian stuff but looks like they are just getting a few titles. Two or three years ago it was really cheap and they got all new games for like 35USD and shipping was 5USD (from Malaysia).

45 USD is also INSANELY cheap. A normal game (no special box, no CE, no LE) in USA costs $60 USD brand new on release day (excluding tax and shipping if you buy online), so you can see how I would not consider 45 USD expensive by any means.
This Biohazard Chronicles HD set at play asia is extremely well priced! It's going to cost me a total of $68 USD (INCLUDING shipping) and that is an incredible bargain considering I'm getting two brand new games, packaged in a special Asian exclusive box and on physical disc (where in USA and all of Europe only gets download only). I'm basically paying only $8 more than I would for a brand new game and I'm getting an awesome Asian exclusive.
No offense at all is intended here StyX, please understand that. I'm just explaining things from my perspective living here in USA.

PS
There are also many Japanese shops run by single owners who are nice people (collectors and such) and they always get you things from the Asian region for normal prices there and don't inflate like on ebay. One such shop is solarisjapan.com (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/solarisjapan.com) Highly recommended! You will only pay what he pays to acquire something. Nothing more or less.
I know that is not meant to to be offensive at all ;)
Maybe it´s just I know it´s more expensive than the normal price but of course the retailers also want to make a profit. It´s just I wanted to make sure you guys know that it´s not THAT cheap. Of course it´s not horribly expensive as well but just wanted to mention ;)
And 30€ aren´t a big deal for me as well. Actually, it´s a good deal for the new Biohazard Chronicles but 45€ for the old one (the Revival Selection) is double the price which I consider to be expensive.
Didn´t want to make trouble though :D
