Tell us about the videogame or videogame-related items that got away.
So far, I have personally let two very special pieces get away. One was the Dark Souls statue from the contest that they held for it. The guy that won the statue promised to sell it to me. I paid him for it and everything. Then at the last second he told me that he broke the statue and therefore couldn't sell it to me. I now know he was full of shit because I see that another member from the forum has the statue.
The other piece that I lost is the Sonic the Hedgehog statue that sat in the office of the President of Sega of America. It was up for bids, but no one bought it. It was relatively cheap too. This was during the height of the recession, and I was feeling the pinch of the poor economy, so I decided not to buy it right then. Then it came up for sale again at the same cheap price, but this time it was available for sale right out the door, no bids needed. After a bit of thinking it over, I decided that I was going to buy it because I came to the realization that it was a very special and important piece of gaming history. Well much to my dismay, someone (who shall remain nameless) bought it shortly after it went up for sale the second time around, and I was left with only regret. I was like this basically:

and here they are:

It was heartbreaking, but there will be more things. Still would've loved to have them.
