So has anyone started on these things? I know vhal did the first series but looking into the second it seems like more money grab than brilliant idea like the first series...

Rereleasing the majority of the characters with new looks and skill chips, 8 light up characters, 8 new characters and 8 giants, not to mention glow in the dark versions and anyother thing they can think of...

Already told you on facebook :) But yeah, I've got the bug again, however, I'm restricted to just lusting after them... as I have no spare cash whatsoever. So will once again be picking them all up late :( Grr. Damn money issues :( xx

Your saying the first ones weren't? I've always seen these as a money grab.

there going to release an infinite amount of these in the upcoming years, months, different colors, variants, store exclusives, packaged exclusives, limited editions, etc..if you collect these..good luck :D...cuz if you want to keep up and have a complete collection, it will take you to the poor house in no time!

I think the first series was a great idea.. But yes also a money grab, its was what every pokemon fan had been saying pokemon should invent for the last 15 years lol, the infinite version possibility is where it will become painfull, ive bought a few of them, but im not going nuts and buying what amounts to +$1500 worth of toys..

At $19 a giant, $15 for a normal skylander $30 for a box set and 69 - 89 for a starter kit its a little much

The starter kit was $89, 32 of the characters came in single or tripple packs plus the 4 dlc packs..

$690 for series 1

Series 2 the starter pack is 89, 6 giants and 35 rereleased characters..

And another 690 atleast in this lot untill expansions hit stores

The starter kit for the first one was ?70 here originally. Starter packs are only ?55 for this one (or you can get the other pack, that just has the game and a giant, no portal, for ?45). I got the Limited Edition Starter Pack for this one though, since there is one :D One of the starter pack figures is glow in the dark :D (Cynder) xx
